Koda Kumi Announces 13th Album in 2 Versions

Koda Kumi has announced the release of 2 versions for her 13th album release titled W Face -inside- and W Face -outside-.

Out March 8th, both albums will each have three editions: CD only, CD+DVD, CD+Blu-ray.

W Face -inside- will feature ballads and pop songs that showcase her emotional side. In contrast, W Face -outside- will have a more aggressive feel to it and will have R&B ballads, dance songs, and an urban feel to it.

A track from W Face -inside- titled On My Way will be the theme song for the drama Mahiru no Akuma.

It seems like dual releases are all the rage right now in Japan since other groups have had similar releases already. Bandjanaimon! did. Yumemiru Adolescence did as well.

However, this is Koda Kumi and her releases are always welcome.

This is the perfect opportunity for her to stretch her wings a bit and show off a few other genres she has dominated in the years since her debut. Fans ultimately win since they can choose which version to get: those who like the softer side can grab a copy of -inside- while those who love a more aggressive Koda can grab -outside-.
