Nogizaka46 member Ito Marika has announced her graduation.
The announcement was done days before her first art exhibition called Ito Marika no Nounai Hakurankai. There she mentioned that she felt that the timing was right to announce her graduation. She did not mention any specific plans for the future, but has expressed that she is happy being able to do art so she might follow a career in that.
Management has not decided on a graduation date, but she has mentioned that she will leave the group by the end of the year.
Ito Marika joined Nogizaka46 as part of the group’s 1st generation back in August 2011.
While we don’t have many details about what she plans to do in the future, it’s great to see that she has a passion that she wishes to follow. Sure, she might not be part of the group by the end of the year but fans can continue to support her by visiting her art exhibitions if she decides to continue with art.
