Ex-Morning Musume member Michishige Sayumi has announced her comeback to show business after a long hiatus.
Announced on the anniversary of her graduation, the notice was revealed through a series of cryptic blog posts. The blog posts each featured a different character, which were posted on different dates to spell out Michishige Sayumi Saisei meaning Michishige Sayumi’s Rebirth.
She mentions that she will restart her activities next spring, with not much other details given regarding how she will make her comeback (music, variety shows, etc).
Needless to say, I’m excited. Sayu has been my favorite idol since I started listening to J-pop and got into the idol culture, so having her back from a hiatus is amazing news.
We’ll update if more details are given, but it seems like fans can finally start practicing those Usa-chan Peace greetings once more.
