Suzuki Airi Reveals 3 MVs From Her Debut Solo Album

Former C-ute member Suzuki Airi has revealed 3 MVs from her debut solo album titled Do me a favor.

Out June 6th, the album will be released in limited and regular editions.

Leading us off we have DISTANCE, a modern E-girls styled song packed full of powerful beats. In fact, it’s the song that stands out the most from this release because of how powerful the vocals are, how catchy the beat of the instrumental is, and generally just how awesome the song turned out.

The visuals don’t disappoint either and help create a sense of energy that is simply unrivaled by the other songs that were released. We get to see Airi and her gang dance on a pier, in an abandoned building, and even just sing from a white mansion. This is by far my favorite song from the bunch.

MVs with nature in them are always a solid choice to use for an MV, and thankfully start again is packed full of these scenes for fans to enjoy. From the beach at sunset to Airi dancing on the mountains with a group of dancers, there’s a lot to enjoy in this rather epic MV.

Of course, the song is the main point of this release. It has a modern sound with English / Japanese lyrics. This song especially gives me the vibes of a true solo artist, which is a great job from Airi. It’s so good that it makes me ignore the CGI’ed flower petals that pop out of nowhere.

Suzuki Airi x SPICY CHOCOLATE

Despite its title, it’s not an upbeat song, in fact, it’s a ballad with heartfelt lyrics that are sung perfectly by Airi. Add in scenes of her practicing the song along with a band and scenes of her performing on stage and you have a surprisingly awesome song.

The most surprising visual from this release is her shirt choice. Who thought of combining the word Nostradamus and a meteor? She’s even using it in the rehearsals. We’ll never know, but what we do know is that this song is amazing and worth a listen for fans of ballads.
