AKB48 has released all of the coupling MVs for their 52nd single titled Teacher Teacher.
Out May 30th, the single will be released in 8 editions.
After an impressive MV for Teacher Teacher, fans were left waiting for more of this epic single. Thankfully, the wait is over and we got an early morning surprise with the release of all the MVs for their latest single. Let’s check them out!
Kimi wa Boku no Kaze
AKB48 Center Exam Senbatsu / All Versions
What would you do if AKB48 went to your school? If you were a normal human being you’d normally throw your hands up in surprise and squeal in pure joy. But, in the world of Kimi wa Boku no Kaze it’s a bit different.
In this MV we get to see as some of the members of AKB48 go to a school to walk around. The lack of male students is surprising, but what’s most surprising is how calm the members are as they walk into classrooms and sit in chairs like nothing is out of the ordinary. Add in an upbeat ballad and you have a good idea what to expect for this video.
AKB48 – Team A / Type A Exclusive
Opening umbrellas inside of a building is normally bad luck. But not if you’re AKB48. In this MV we get to see as the members wear fancy dresses and use umbrellas to stay out of the rain inside of a warehouse. It’s rather simple but the rain matches the song perfectly, especially when the rain stops and the members start looking up to the sky.
Speaking of the song, it’s a pretty solid addition to the single. The beat is slow but it has a rather upbeat sound to it that ‘s sure to please fans. There are some male “Tsunku-esque” vocals in there but they help give the funky beat of the song a nice touch.
Shuuden no Yoru
AKB48 – Team K / Type B Exclusive
Time to get artsy. In the MV for Shuuden no Yoru we get to see members of Team K as they wear dark outfits and run around a series of weird buildings. The calm ballad plays as the perfect backdrop to the rather impressive visuals.
I’m still confused as to why those buildings were made, but hey, the video turned out pretty well.
AKB48 – Team B / Type C Exclusive
Team B go black and white in the MV for Atarashii Chime and boy does it look amazing. In this classy release, we get to see the members wear some fancy outfits and sing in black and white settings. The contrast of the two is perfect, with the later combination of both helping make this MV stand out from the rest of the other MVs.
The song is a tad on the “B-side” side of things though (which makes sense), with a rather simple ballad sound. But, thankfully the visuals of the video help give it a boost as one of the best looking of the bunch.
AKB48 – Team 4 / Type D Exclusive
With a name like Neko Allergy, I was expecting to see a cat or two in the video for Team 4’s release. Unfortunately, that doesn’t happen. But, what we do get is a series of scenes of the members doing choreographed moves as they sing along to an upbeat song in school. These scenes are pretty well done though, with the members cleaning erasers, dancing in class, and walking in the halls.
So, are these MVs worth the wait? Absolutely! The settings and themes used for each video make for a rather varied release from AKB48. It’s hard to follow the epicness of the main track, but in some way they managed to provide fans with a pleasant preview of what they’ll get when they grab a copy of the single.
Make sure to check out all of the MVs above and grab your copy of the single to show you’re support!
