Last Idol act out a dramatic love story in the shaky MV for their 3rd single titled Sukide Sukide Shouganai.
Out August 1st, the single will be released in 6 editions.
Drama MVs are all the rage, and it seems like Last Idol are trying it out in their latest single. In it we get to see 22 members as they dance and act their way through an empty business building while wearing school uniforms. It’s a nice concept and one that works well to match the beat of the song.
But, one thing distracted me throughout the MV: shaky camera scenes.
I’m unsure if the cameraman had one too many coffee cups in the morning before the shoot, but it does get distracting after some time. Yes, it adds a sense of realism to the MV but having the camera bounce up and down as they rapidly change scenes is a bit odd.
That being said, Sukide Sukide Shouganai has a fairly simple sound. The chorus repeats one word over and over and over and over and over again. It’s catchy in a way, but combined with the simple instrumental of the song it doesn’t seem to have much depth.
The song doesn’t kick off until 1:43, so if you want to check out the song make sure to skip to that time. For now, I encourage everyone who liked the song to grab a copy of their single below so they can afford a camera stabilizer!
