Iikubo Haruna has announced that she will be graduating from Morning Musume ’18 and Hello! Project.
Announced on the Hello! Project site, Iikubo mentioned how upon celebrating the 20th anniversary of the group, she started thinking more about her future. In order to accomplish her goals and challenge herself, she decided to graduate from Morning Musume ’18 and Hello! Project.
She has expressed an interest in remaining in the entertainment industry while also commenting on how she would like to start solo activities related to the arts.
She will graduate at the end of the 2018 Fall concert tour for Morning Musume ’18. More dates could be added later on, however, the concert tour is currently set to end on December 9th.
While we don’t have an exact graduation date for Iikubo Haruna, it’s still a sad event for Morning Musume as a whole.
Haruna is one of those members that shines brightly because of her fun personality and her great fashion sense. Not surprisingly, she seems to have a desire to pursue a solo career in entertainment where she will be able to do just that.
It’ll be fun to see where Haruna goes from here, and I highly encourage everyone who can to check out the following Young Town Doyoubi episode since she’ll be talking more about her graduation there.
