Michishige Sayumi’s return was long awaited and a sign that there is still some good in the world. Of course, it’s been some time since she has returned with her doing a variety of activities since then, including a series of performances called Sayuminglandoll.

Well, now Michishige Sayumi is going back to her roots to release a song for fans to enjoy and the result is a pretty awesome MV. Most of the shots are of her walking down the streets of Tokyo while wearing a variety of outfits. That’s basically the entire concept of the MV, with every shot showing off a unique outfit. Simple but effective.

So, we all know that Sayu is not the best singer. Most of her parts in Morning Musume songs were of her singing with some electronic effects and as a Sayu fan that was completely fine. Loneliness Tokyo is basically just that, with a series of lines that are sung with a slight electronic effect. It’s honestly among the best songs I’ve heard from her, with it being a nice welcome back for many.

This MV might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I strongly encourage you to take a look at it. It’s a mature look at Sayu and one that shows off just how amazing she has become since she left Morning Musume.
