SCANDAL chill out in the casual MV for their latest single titled Mabataki.
Out since March 27th, the single will be a double a-side release alongside the track Masterpiece.
After enjoying a rocking MV for Masterpiece, we are taking it down a notch or two with the latest SCANDAL MV. Gone are the bright lights and the instruments, instead being replaced by a series of scenes where the members chill in a bed, in a living room, or while taking a bath.
It’s a relaxing take on the SCANDAL formula, and one that shows off just how versatile the group is with their music. In fact, the slower beat is dominated by electronic touches, giving it a more traditional girl group feel to it. You won’t be hearing any guitars on this release, so if you’re looking for something a bit exciting this might not be your video.
Would I like SCANDAL to go down this route more often? Once in a while would work nicely, since it shows off the vocals of the members well. But SCANDAL sounds best when they’re rocking out, so I’m glad to see that they made this release a double a-side release to appeal to all fans.
