The single has great promotion so far with the song being the theme song for a new drama titled Otona Joshi. There is a b-side which will be her song Ai no Uta, which was featured in another drama titled Omotesando Koukou Gasshoubu.

There’s only a month or so before the release so it will be interesting to see where this ballad styled single will go, but consider getting a copy if you’re a fan!

The release date is set for October 28.

Fairies “Mr. Platonic” Short MV Released

Fairies Mr. Platonic

Fairies have released the short MV for their single titled Mr. Platonic.

Mr. Platonic was announced a while ago so it’s nice to see that the MV has been released since we get a better idea of what to expect.

Funky. That word basically sums up the song and while a few might not be a big fan of the genre it seems like Fairies have released a strong song with vocals and the beat complementing each other quite well. With a more mature look and dance alongside a model runway theme where the members show off some clothes in front of a hip-looking crowd, it’s quite stunning.

This is the first time I’ve listened to the group, but I do have to admit that this single has intrigued me thus far since it has a strong sound that sets them apart from other idol groups.

Check out the video after the break!

The release date is set for November 18.

3B Junior “Fragile Stars” MV Released

3B Junior Fragile Stars

The MV for 3B Junior’s Fragile Stars has been released.

The idols are from a Stardust Promotion with the official title of the single being Fragile Stars / Yuuki no Silhouette which was apparently only available at the venues of the group’s event.

Featuring an electronic background alongside a strong guitar tone it gives the song quite a strong character. Vocals are likewise solid with all oft he members having a nice sound, despite having quite a lot of members.

As the name states the members are all relatively young, so it’s quite surprising to see that they dominated the choreography with a strong power behind their moves. Sure, it’s not perfect but it’s a perfect start for the group which seems like they have potential.

Check out the video for yourself after the break!

C-ute “Arigatou ~Mugen no Yell~ / Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight!” Cover Preview Released

C-ute Arigatou Mugen no Yell Arashi wo okosunda Exciting Fight

A preview for one of the cover’s for C-ute’s 28th single titled Arigatou ~Mugen no Yell / Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight! has been released.

From what I can see it seems to be a bit standard with a picture of the members staring at the camera with smiles in front of a blue sky. Unfortunately, it doesn’t give us much of an idea of what to expect but it is a great photo if you enjoy simpler covers.

We should be getting the rest in a manner of weeks so definitely stay tuned for the update!

The release date is set for October 28.

Shiggy Jr. “GHOST PARTY” MV Released

Shiggy Jr

Shiggy Jr. has released the MV for their single titled GHOST PARTY.

October means Halloween related songs and it seems like Shiggy Jr. is joining the party with an electronic Pop song that is quite catchy. Of course, it’s nice to see that they are using a cute ghost effect to add some nice personality to the MV, alongside the Zombie para-para at the end with the kid half-heartedly dancing along.

If you like what you here definitely consider getting a copy of the (apparently meerkat fronted) single to support the band!

The release date is set for October 14.

HKT48’s Goto Izumi to Graduate

Goto Izumi

Image from HKT48 Site

It has been announced that HKT48’s Goto Izumi will graduate from the group.

The graduation announcement was announced recently at HKT48 Theater during her birthday concert. She will apparently be graduating to focus on her studies.

Graduations are always sad and this one is definitely an interesting one since the announcement was done at her birthday concert. Sure, it’s a great way to say goodbye to fans and let them know you will be leaving, but it’s definitely a rather sad note to leave at the end.

Nonetheless, fans have enough time to enjoy her in the group for a month so definitely plan on attending her last event if possible!

The graduation concert will take place on October 30.

ANGERME “Donden Gaeshi” Preview Released

ANGERME

ANGERME have released a preview for 1/3 of their upcoming single titled Donden Gaeshi.

The preview starts around 6:41.

The song itself sounds quite animeish with a powerful vocal backed up by a band. So far the quality is a bit on the low end but it does give us a good idea of what to expect and I am quite excited to say the least for this powerful release.

Give it a listen before the video is taken down!

The release date is set for November 11.

ANGERME New Single Titled “Desugita Kui wa Utarenai / Dondengaeshi / Watashi”

ANGERME 324

ANGERME have announced the title of their new single to be Desugita Kui wa Utarenai / Dondengaeshi / Watashi.

It will release in six editions: Regular A, B, and C, as well as Limited A, B, C editions. The limited editions will come with a DVD, the regular editions will come with one random photocard.

This release is a sad one since this will be the last to feature Fukuda Kanon, one of the founding members of the original group S/mileage. Of course, members don’t last forever so I’m glad to see that this last release will feature a full release with three a-sides.

Not much is known since only the titles were released, but we should have some previews in the coming weeks since there isn’t much info, but fans of the group and especially Fukuda should pick up a copy!

The release date is set for November 11.
