Sashihara Rino has announced that she will be graduating from HKT48.
The announcement was done on December 15th during a one-man live at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL. Sashihara commented that she already had her heart set on graduating for some time now. But, due to her loving everyone she was unable to make the announcement.
Sashihara Rino’s graduation date is set for April 28th at Yokohama Stadium. A special thanksgiving event will be held shortly after on May 28th at Marine Messe Fukuoka.
Sashihara Rino has been part of AKB48 since October 2007 when she became a 5th generation member. She was moved to HKT48 on June 2012 as a result of a dating scandal and has remained there since. She is well known for having a talent at managing, being the current manager of =LOVE and formerly managing STU48.
It’s finally happened.
Sashihara Rino is by far one of the most recognizable idols on the scene and with good reason. She’s been the face of HKT48 for a while and with her many variety show appearances it’s almost impossible to not know who she is.
Not surprisingly, fans have asked themselves when she would be leaving the group. Many AKB48 members who hit the 10 year mark decided to graduate due to them wanting to let a new generation take their place and with her remaining it was just a matter of time.
There’s not much to say about Rino which hasn’t been said already. She’s pretty talented at the idol thing and has a magnificent personality which comes in handy for her many variety show appearances. I wouldn’t be surprised to see that she continues her entertainment business career after leaving HKT48.
For now, we don’t have much info about what she plans on doing, but it seems like fans are in for a rather eventful four months. If you’re in the area make sure to catch a HKT48 performance before she graduates. For now, best of luck Sashihara Rino!
