Yukueshirezu Tsurezure, also known as Not Secured, Loose Ends, has announced that member Futamaruya Shidare will be leaving the group.
According to a press release, Shidare mentions that during the past 3 years she has worked hard in order to make Tsurezure a good group. However, she realized that she couldn’t continue to perform since she lacked the motivation and confidence. With Kotetsu and Meiyuimei joining she decided that it was the best time for her to leave in order for the group to move forward.
She originally thought about leaving back in February, and comments how wanting to leave while the other members wanted to tour felt like a “betrayal”. Shidare apologizes for those who wanted to celebrate her birthday with her and those who wanted to see Yukueshirezu Tsurezure with 5 members.
There will be an emergency one-man live held at Shibuya CYCLONE as part of the Unethical Tour. Shidare will leave Yukueshirezu Tsurezure on February 2nd.
This sucks.
Shidare is the image of Yukueshirezu Tsurezure for many, and it’s easy to see why. Her screaming abilities are far above and beyond any other idol, including PassCode’s Yuna. Despite being part of a relatively obscure idol group, she has made fans feel happiness with her vocals and has generally been one of the most unique idols on the scene, easily becoming one of my favorite idols of all time.
But, all good things have to come to an end.
Her graduation notice mentions more in detail how she feels, but it seems as if she feels that the group cannot continue with her. That she is holding the group back from achieving success due to her lack of confidence. In her opinion this feels like betrayal.
If you have the time, give her graduation notice a read here (credit to Caleb for the translation), I highly recommend you give it a read since she packed in a very detailed reason as to why she felt she couldn’t continue in the group. She even spent time yesterday going in detail about her decision on her Twitter account.
For now, we can’t do anything else but support her in her decision to leave. We hope that her leaving the group can help her find happiness. Best of luck Shidare, we’ll miss you!
