Michishige Sayumi does cute stuff in the bright, cheery MV for OK! Ikimakucchae.

Out July 24th, the track is part of her first solo album titled SAYUMINGLANDOLL – Memorial -.

If you had told me that Michishige Sayumi would have a fruitful solo singer career after Morning Musume back in 2013, I would have looked at you really weird. Sayu is pretty beautiful but her singing skills have always been a source of complaints for many. Well, it seems like Sayu has the last laugh since she’s about to release a solo album and to promote it she’s release a new MV.

Taking place in a variety of bright scenes, we get to see Sayu as she smiles at the camera and sings. She sings from her bed while she playfully throws a pillow, from a cafe, and even from a market in public. As always, Sayu is stunningly cute through each scene, which is perfect for those who are incredibly biased towards her (me). There isn’t much else in terms of story, but it works for Sayu.

OK! Ikimakucchae is a song. The instrumental is bright and cheery and pretty catchy, and the vocals are what you’d expect from Sayu. They’re surprisingly good and catchy, but there is still a touch of “over-adorableness” that might not work for everyone.

So, is this the best MV ever released? In my incredibly biased opinion, yes.

All kidding aside it’s a pretty decent MV for Sayu fans and one that shows off what we want to see: Sayu smiling and being cute. Check it out below and grab a copy of that album below!
