9nine have announced that they will be going on hiatus.
According to their website, the members started discussing their future alongside their staff after becoming a 4 member group back in fall of 2017. There were a variety of conflicts during those discussions and in the end the members decided to challenge themselves to try new things on their own.
Their activities will stop after their one-man live titled 9nine one man live 2019 -Forever 9nine- on April 6th.
It’s been a while since we last heard from 9nine, and unfortunately the latest news from them is not happy. In a way, this was expected lineup changes always cause some shakiness in groups, but we have to give them credit for sticking together despite everything since becoming a group of 4 back in 2016.
The hiatus part might seem a bit scary to fans, but a break after all these years is sure to help give the members a much needed opportunity to explore other activities.
