Former C-ute member Okai Chisato has announced that she will be taking a break from all entertainment activities for the time being.
According to the announcement, Okai Chisato comments that she wishes to think about her life. Chisato comments that she has been in the entertainment industry for 17 years and since then hasn’t had a chance to experience life from a different perspective.
She mentions that she will notify us about her life when she has something to notify. For the time being, her manager’s Twitter account (@okaimanager) has been changed to @jprmanager and her JP Room profile has been redirect to her hiatus blog post.
Okai has spent her time after C-ute going on TV shows and living life as a talent. But, the notification that she would be taking a break from it all is quite sudden and something that not many fans were expecting.
We don’t know much about what caused her to take this decision. But, as she mentioned she does have some pretty good reasons why she wants to explore what else there is to do in life outside of entertainment.
