Morning Musume ’19 has revealed 3 new members as part of their 15th generation.

The 15th generation members are:

Okamura Homare
Age: 14 years old
Hometown: Tokyo
Blood type: A
Height: 158 cm
Fun fact: She enjoys collecting stationary.

Kitagawa Rio
Age: 15 years old
Hometown: Tokyo
Blood type: O
Height: 155 cm
Fun fact: Her hobby is cooking.

Yamazaki Mei
Age: 13 years old
Hometown: Hokkaido
Blood type: B
Height: 158 cm
Fun Fact: She enjoys collecting panda goods, and she is also a now former Hokkaido Hello! Pro Kenshuusei.

The members were revealed during a livestream where they were introduced by Morning Musume and Hello! Project leader Fukumura Mizuki. Homare, Rio, and Mei will be starting their activities with Morning Musume ’19 in the fall.

Morning Musume are among the most recognizable idol groups in the industry, so a new generation is always a big event to look forward to. Needless to say, when they announced the LOVE auditions, the hype was real.

The long wait is finally over and we’re glad to see that we get 3 new members in the lineup. From what I can tell, they seem like great additions and have some great potential. Yamazaki Mei has some exposure to the idol world already, Okamura Homare has an Abe Natsumi look, and Kitagawa Rio is already giving off some strong ace vibes.

We don’t know much else about the new members, but there is one thing for sure: Yamazaki Mei is super excited to be part of the group.
