GIRLFRIEND tell a story of school love in the bright MV for their 5th single titled sky & blue.
Out August 28th, the single will be released in 2 editions: Limited and Regular.
GIRLFRIEND are one of those groups that are pretty well known for their covers of other popular artists. But, many might know that they also release their own music. In fact, they’ve just released a new MV and it’s a breathe of fresh air in the girl rock group scene.
Taking place in the traditional school setting, we see a couple of students who spend the day staring out into space in bright scenes. The relaxing tone of the song works perfectly with the brightened look of each scene, with the vocals from the members working beautifully in symphony.
The interesting thing about this MV is that each scene takes some time to change, making for a relaxing and paced video that doesn’t use flashy changes to grab the attention of the viewer. There is a disadvantage though, since there are only 2 scenes: one showing GIRLFRIEND jamming out in an empty pool, and the others just taking place in a classroom/roof.
It’s a tad on the simple side but it works perfectly for what it is. Will it be the best song of all time? Nope, but it’s a relaxing rock ballad that will make GIRLFRIEND fans happy. Give it a watch below and grab a copy of that single to show your support!
