Nogizaka46 recover their confidence in the MV for Romendensha no Machi and celebrate Sakura Reika in the MV for Tokidoki Omoidashite Kudasai.

Out September 4th, the tracks are part of Nogizaka46’s 24th single titled Yoake Made Tsuyogaranakute mo Ii.

Nogizaka46 have shown us what money can do in the artistic MV for Yoake Made Tsuyogaranakutebut it’s time to promote the rest of the single. For that, we got 2 MVs this week which are both a treat.

Romendensha no Machi
Nogizaka46 / Saito Asuka, Hori Miona, Yamashita Mizuki / Type A Exclusive

If you wanted to be unsettled, you’ll be glad to see that the first scene of this MV features a girl with cake on her face laying on the ground. It’s a weird opening but one that kicks off a rather interesting set of scenes set to a ballad.

Aside from the weird introduction, the rest of the MV is rather emotional. After being bullied she meets a girl who hugs her and becomes her best friend. From there, we see her slowly regain her confidence and start to enjoy life, which is a pretty good message for those who found themselves in similar situations.

The somber tone of the song is rather impressive since it works well to match the many scenes we get to see. The last scene is a bit confusing since we see the girl who hugged her disappear, so we’re unsure if she was a ghost or angel who came to cheer her up, but it is pretty touching.

Tokidoki Omoidashite Kudasai
Nogizaka46 / Sakura Reika / Type C Exclusive

Sakura Reika is a pretty talented artist, which is pretty unfortunate seeing as she decided to graduate from the group. It’s a bittersweet moment as we get to enjoy her voice one last time.

After a weird introduction with her at a press conference, we jump into a slightly unsettling scene of her staring at a screen while softly singing acapella. Pretty weird so far but trust me, it gets better at around the 1:25 mark.

From there on, we get a variety of scenes of her as she walks around a home packed with her former outfits and several TVs with scenes of her life as part of Nogizaka46. It’s an amazing set of scenes and one that works well to show off her legacy with the group, all while showing off her talented singing skills one last time.

There’s a special scene at the end where she talks to the fans and shares one last message. It’s a unique move on the typical graduation MV since rarely do we get another message apart from the final concert. But, it’s a nice move that is sure to make fans happy since we see her say goodbye and leave through a door that gets kind of stuck.

Overall, these 2 MVs are rather impressive in their own ways, so make sure to give them a watch and grab a copy of the single below!
