NEWS have announced the release of a double a-sided single titled Hikari no Shizuku / Touch.

The covers are a bit underwhelming, with it being just a slight variation of the cover above as they look to the right and then to the left. Basic stuff. Of course, if you are a fan of them and can’t get enough of those cheeks, you can get them all at a special bundle that CDJapan is listing on their site.

The tracklist is looking nice, though, it’s listed at full length after the break, so fans of the group are in for a treat.

January 20th is the date of release, so make sure to be on the lookout for this interesting release!

NEWS have announced the release of a new single titled Hikari no Shizuku / Touch.

The title track Hikari no Shizuku has been chosen as the theme song for a drama titled Kasa wo Motanai Aritachi.

The sound for each song is described as more of a support song for Hikari no Shizuku while Touch will have a more poppy sound. With each song there will be a different version, a normal regular version, a Hikari no Shizuku version and the Touch version, but both the limited editions will contain a DVD with their respective MV.

The regular edition will have a nice bonus, though, two additional tracks titled Hoshi no Tabibitotachi and whis・per.

Overall it’s a nice announcement and a perfect way to kick off the year since the release is set for January 20 which is around a month away!

NEWS have revealed that their song Anthem has been selected to be the official song for FIFA Club World Cup 2015.

Anthem will be part of their upcoming single titled Yonjuushi. Yonjuushi will itself be the theme song for the anime Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo R.

Having your song featured for a worldwide event that many people in your country will be watching is probably the pinnacle of promotion goodness, and fortunately it seems like NEWS have the chance to enjoy that benefit.

So far the tracklist is looking pretty solid so it seems like one of those must have singles that is being well promoted with two tracks being featured in popular media.

November 25th is the date, so be on the lookout for the single!
