Takeda Saki and Nakano Yumi To Graduate from palet

On December 11, Takeda Saki and Nakano Yumi announced they would be graduating from the group.

According to comments from the members, Takeda Saki will graduate to continue her studies abroad. Nakano Yumi will be leaving due to a leg injury that has worsened as the tour has proceeded and instead will work hard to become a solo singer.

It seems quite sudden, but the reasons for graduation are valid. After all, Saki is 20 now and idols are well known for leaving groups fairly early to accomplish other goals they might have. Yumi on the other hand, has a more pressing issue with her leg injury and performing idol songs do take a toll on their bodies.

Hopefully fans can continue to give them support until their final performance set for December 28.

The MV for LADYBABY’s Age Age Money ~Ochingin Daisakusen~ has been released.

LADYBABY.

The name alone is widely recognized around the world for all the good reasons. With their 1st single becoming popular around the world as fans came to know this power trio.

It’s been a while since we last heard of them as they toured the world, but it seems like we’re thankfully in for another burst of J-pop metal goodness in the form of Age Age Money ~Ochingin Daisakusen.

The video itself has to be seen to be appreciated but expect more amazing dancing alongside some catchy growls and vocals. The song itself follows the vein of the 1st, but instead dealing with wages and the economy (the best topics for any J-pop song).

With a NYC and LA setting alongside some shots from fan events it combines to form among the most active idol videos I’ve seen all year.

Release is set for next year, January 13 to be exact so make sure to get those reservations in since this sounds like it will be another hit from this group!

Morning Musume 15 ENDLESS SKY

The MV for Morning Musume ’15’s ENDLESS SKY has been released.

With a soft beat that reminds you of a soft sky sunrise, the song has managed to change my opinion on the softer idol songs.

Usually, it’s not my main choice but seeing the members dancing on a heavenly setting with a soft dance it seems like one of the more impressive MVs I’ve seen.

It’s certainly a perfect leading track for the last single from Riho, so definitely make sure to check it out since the shots are among the most impressive we’ve seen.

Release is set for December 29, so just a few more weeks!

The MV for Devil ANTHEM’s latest release titled Kakusei WOW WOW.

Ever wanted to hear a well-revered song about saints sung by idols in devil outfits? Today is your lucky day since we get to hear an upbeat rendition full of bagpipes and techno with rock vocals.

The vocals are strong and fast, and paired with the adorable outfits it seems like a must see MV for fans of unique idol songs. Sure, the shots are a bit sloppy at times but the song itself is a solid release from this up and coming idol group.

The contrast might be a bit too much for some, but if you love it make sure to keep the release of December 15 in mind!

FAKY “Afterglow” MV Released

The MV for FAKY’s recently released song titled Afterglow has been released.

The song has a more R&B style that is sure to have fans of the more modern Pop scene happy. Alongside that we also get to see the MV in a POV shot from the viewpoint of a passionate fan who starts forming a … stalking love … for the idols.

It has a nice beat to it and it’s nice to see that they went for a unique style for their song. It does bring to mind the Kpop style that is currently dominating most of Asia, but they add a unique twist to the mix with a more American inspired sound from one of the members.

The songs have been out for a while, and links to check them out are on their site! It seems like links outside of Asia aren’t available, but we should be getting them soon.

GEM 5th Single Announced

GEM have announced the release of a 5th single.

The single was announced during their recent performance titled Dai-2-kai Hashiru Hito Presents Nonstop Zenryoku Live.

New single releases are always exciting and this one is no exception with a new single in the works, fans will be able to rest easy this Holiday season knowing that GEM are planning to kick off the year with a bang.

Other details like the title haven’t been released, but we are expecting a March 23rd release in 2016.

Yokoyama Yui Named AKB48’s General Director

Yokoyama Yui has been named AKB48’s new general director, replacing Takahashi Minami due to her graduation from the group.

Complete with an actual contract that was signed by both of the members, it seems like it’s official now:

It’s a nice ceremony that passes on the responsibilities and Yui seems quite capable of taking care of the group as General Director, especially as she declared that the only rival AKB48 had is AKB48 itself.

Koutei Camera Girl “Leningrad Loud Girlz” Short MVs Released

Two MVs from Koutei Camera Girl’s latest album titled Leningrad School Girlz have been released.

The first MV is titled Last Glascow, with a techno sound alongside some shots of the streets as the girls stare intensely at apparently something. Once the beat drops, the girls get heavy with their strong rapping rivaling only their total disregard of public cleanliness.

Look as they adorably put stickers on public stuff and spraypaint. Despite their cute tagging skills, the music is solid and catchy so it’s well recommended for those who like their idols to rap.

Up next is Trip with Mr.Sadness, a song that is not sad at all and instead features a happy beat alongside shots of the girls as they walk around some mountain trails looking confused with a dance party in a tunnel culminating the MV. The music isn’t as solid as the main track, but I do like the contrast since it features more singing.

The album has been out since December 2, so those who like what they hear can get a copy of their own!

The MV for WHY@DOLL’s clover has been released.

Ready for some jazzy idol tunes mixed in with some cute Chinese wearing idols? You’re in luck since WHY@DOLL have just the MV for you.

With an upbeat sound, a stroll down the streets, some white sweaters, and dancing in a fancy room with an extremely shaky cameraman capturing every frame. The shots mix well and give a subtle background to the song with the two mixing nicely.

Like the duo, the MV is short but sweet and it’s a perfect preview of what you’ll be enjoying when you pick up your own copy of the release since it’s currently out and ready for fans to buy!!
