News
Michischige Sayumi announces her comeback
Those who know me are well aware of how big of a fan I am of Sayu. So finding out that she will be once again coming back next spring is nothing short of amazing news. Welcome back Sayu!
Tokyo Girls’ Style go cool and cute in the MVs for Mille Feuille
While the song might be a bit lacking, it’s great to see groups like Tokyo Girls’ Style find unique ways to promote their latest release. The cool MV shows off a catchy dance and setting, while the cute MV has a bit of a story that is worth checking out. Make sure to check them out both!
Yumemiru Adolescence get angsty in the MV for Otona Yarasete yo
Who needs dance shots and cute solo shots when you have a pack of girls running through the streets of Japan ripping trash bags apart? Yumemiru Adolescence are definitely an interesting group to follow.
Go on a hike with Yurumerumo! and their MV for Night Hiking
Yurumerumo! are one of those groups that are always trying out new things for their releases, and this one is no exception. Sure, the mini-album might be pushing the 6 month mark, but each MV they release is unique and just so good.
SCANDAL go big with their 10th Anniversary Best Of Album
Most groups who hit the 10 year mark tend to ride on the waves of success and simply lay back and enjoy the glory. Not SCANDAL, who in honor of their 10th anniversary are gearing up with a packed Best Of album as well as a 53 performance tour. It’s a great time to be a SCANDAL fan!
Kobushi Factory go full Kobushi and release MV for Kobushi no Hana
Hello! Project has some of the most talented idol groups on the scene, and Kobushi Factory is slowly but surely turning out to be a force to be reckoned with. To promote their 1st album they have released an interesting MV with a fast paced vocal track.
Special Mention:
Encore
This week we’re showcasing a newcomer to the scene with an interesting neo idol theme called uijin.
They have an interesting mix of electronic music tied in with a rock style. The vocals are traditional idol styled, which makes for a nice contrast. Think of it as PassCode but without the screaming and autotune.
Their 1st MV is visually impressive, showing the members as they run around at night while they sing. It might be a bit simple, but it’s worth a look for those who enjoy a bit of an electronic touch to their idol music:
They will be making their debut this coming December 3rd, so make sure to check them out if you’re in the area since they definitely seem promising.
That’s it for this week, stay tuned for the next one!
