Spica no Yoru Release Previews For “YEAH!!!” and “Grasshopper”

Spica no Yoru

Spica no Yoru have released previews for their upcoming single titled YEAH!!! / Grasshopper.

Idols and chiptune haven’t mixed for some odd reason, but thankfully Spica no Yoru are here to take care of that and from the previews we’ve heard in the video it seems like we’re in for an amazing single.

The songs are fast paced and quite energetic, fitting the idol style but with the video game chiptune sound that many love. To me, it seems like a mix of Sandwich de 120pun? and idol music with a more positive theme, which is weird and awesome at the same time.

We’ll get to enjoy the chiptune goodness from the Famicom queens this November 11 through iTunes!

Faint⋆Star “DESTRUCTION” MV Released

Faint⋆Star have released the MV for DESTRUCTION.

The song comes from their single titled DESTRUCTION + 2 B rubbed PL4E edition, which will be released in 4 versions: USA, Japan, Indonesia, and Taiwan.

Fans of electronic oriented songs will definitely be pleased since the song is quite a catchy release in that style. The MV is certainly unique with a more simple but unique style coupled with the members singing in front of a white screen. Sure, it won’t win any awards for being the flashiest MV, but I’m loving the visuals and how the song sounds.

We’ll get to enjoy the single on November 24, so there’s some time before we get it, but for now check out the MV and pick up a copy if you enjoyed it!

Team Syachihoko “J.A.N.A.I.C.A.” MV Released

Team Syachihoko Janaica

Team Syachihoko have released the MV for their song titled J.A.N.A.I.C.A.

What do you get when you combine everything I love about Japan in a single video? You get J.A.N.A.I.C.A.

This is the first time I hear about the group since there are quite a lot of idol groups nowadays, but after watching this video I can say with a smile that this will certainly be a group I will keep an eye on.

Para para, wacky Japanese dance and outfits, combined with an overly happy electronic sound that will stay in your head longer than you can imagine. The video is hard to describe in words alone so make sure to check it out after the break since this is a must see for idol fans and get a fan so we can get more amazing idol wackiness from this group.

We’ll be enjoying the single October 28, so just a few more days!

Matsui Jurina Leaves AKB48, To Remain In SKE48

Matsui Jurina

Matsui Jurina has announced that she will be leaving her current position in AKB48 to continue only in SKE48.

She made the announcement during the broadcast of AKB48 All Night Nippon ~Konya, Matsui Jurina ga Namahousou de Juudia Happyou SP~ with Akimoto being present.

According to Matsui Jurina, she wanted SKE48 to lead the other groups and surpass them, but since she was in both groups it was a bit of a conflict. With the graduation of Rena, she decided to commit herself to SKE48 only.

I can imagine how hard it must be to be in two groups that while being in the same company are competing against each other in some sense so her decision seems natural. Of course, some might be upset but to me this is definitely the best choice so she’s happy with her performances and can perform at her best.

So far, we don’t have any set date for her graduation from AKB48. We should find out soon, until then please continue supporting Matsui Jurina in SKE48!

Silent Siren “alarm” MV Released

Silent Siren has released the MV for alarm.

I’m a fan of girl rock bands with a J-pop sound (SCANDAL) and this group sounds like it will be on my radar since they have a soft and catchy style that is perfect to listen on a soft and rainy morning.

The MV itself has a home feel to it with members of the group doing various activities such as using a phone or playing cards on a table combined with the band playing in front of a house with a breeze playfully going through. The style fits the song perfectly with the filter fitting the song well so it seems like fans are in for a treat.

It will be released on November 4, so just a few weeks more and I’ll definitely be among the first to get my copy since I’m loving this band so far!

ANGERME “Desugita Kui wa Utarenai / Dondengaeshi / Watashi” Covers Released

The covers for ANGERME’s Desugita Kui wa Utarenai / Dondengaeshi / Watashi have been released.

Since this is Fukuda Kanon’s last single it seems appropriate for her to have her own editions and I’m glad to see that they look amazing. Each a-side has its own two copies so fans can choose whichever they enjoy the most and they have stepped up their game with a unique concept for all of them.

I’m loving the clean look of the Regular versions but of course, they each have their charm, with Limited A featuring an eye-catching style as well. If you ever worried you wouldn’t find the perfect cover for your collection, then worry no more since you have 6 amazing covers to choose from

November 11 is the date we get to enjoy the single, so it’s just a matter of weeks. Consider getting a copy to support Kanon’s last single with the group!

Kanjani8 Announce New Single “Samurai Song”

Kanjani8

Kanjani8 have announced the release of their new single titled Samurai Song.

The song will be used as the theme song for the drama Samura Sensei which premiered today with Nishikido Ryo in the starring role.

With the drama out in the wild, it seems like fans have already gotten a taste of Kanjani8’s newest release and from the name alone it seems like a unique title. From the title it seems like it might be about Samurai, I’m not sure why but it’s a feeling.

Regardless we don’t have much info about it with the rest of the single currently untitled, so with the single being set for release on December 2 we’re a month away from finding out!

C-ute “Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight” MV Released

C-ute Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight

The MV for C-ute’s Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight has been released.

We got a chance to enjoy the preview pretty early on and from what we heard it was a fast paced anime oriented song that stood out because of its energy. The good thing is that the MV is amazing. The outfits are stylish. The setting, while confusing at times, is quite nice once you get used to it. The wrestling montage does make sense too as well as that’s a relief since it matches the theme of the song.

I’m a particular fan of the “Ahh no! Bees!” movement they do at the 0:26 mark, but the standout of the MV has to be the fire effect around the end since it looks epic when combined with the music and the guitar solo going on.

The single is not far off, with the release date being October 28, so pick up your copy if you haven’t and check out the MV after the break!

C-ute “Arigatou ~Mugen no Yell~” Vinyl Cover Released

C-ute Arigatou Mugen no Yell Arashi wo Okosunda Life Vinyl LP Cover

The vinyl cover for C-ute’s Arigatou ~Mugen no Yell~ / Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight! has been released.

LPs are rapidly growing in popularity with many stores in the US such as Urban Outfitters offering LPs and players in stores for those looking for an alternative to CDs and digital mediums so thankfully H!P seems to be on board.

The tracklist seems similar to most of the other CD offerings:

Side-A

  1. Arigatou ~Mugen no Yell~
  2. Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight!
  3. Gamusha LIFE (Acoustic Ver.)

Side-B

  1. Arigatou ~Mugen no Yell~ (Instrumental)
  2. Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight! (Instrumental)
  3. Gamusha LIFE (Acoustic Ver.) (Instrumental)

Still, the addition of Gamusha LIFE is a nice addition so fans can enjoy the Acoustic Version in all of it’s glory. Likewise, I’m loving the look of the cover with a stylish look that fans will love with a tilted fashionable theme.

It will be released in November with reservations being set until October 26 so get a copy if you can!
