Takagi Sayuki Solo Blu-ray Announced

Takagi Sayuki Greeting

As always these videos are amazing news for fans since it gives us a chance to find out more about idols that usually don’t get much attention. Takagi is one of those idols. Talented and cute, but sadly overshadowed by a few of her fellow members.

Thankfully from the video and the cover it seems like we’re in for an amazing release with a beach as the background alongside Sayuki in a cute school outfit as well as a shirt scene that culminates in her taking it off to reveal a bikini.

The blu-ray will be available for preorder until November from e-Lineup with a release date for December. If you’re interested, make sure to get your copy since it looks like a perfect way to find out more about her!

Mai Kotone “Chururippa” MV Released

Mai Kotone

Mai Kotone has released an MV for her single titled Chururippa.

If you enjoy videos with idols avoiding eye contact with a camera then you’re in luck! I was quite surprised to say the least since the video is quite interesting, with many scenes featuring the scenery of Taiwan mixed in with scenes of Mai enjoying the area.

The song itself … is not the most impressive I’ve heard, but it’s a good start. Sure, Mai is adorable in every sense of the word with her cute voice being her standout point, but something about the weak vocals affects the rest of the video. It could be just the production of the single so I’m not placing the blame on her, but regardless it’s a solid song from an up and coming idol.

September 15 was the date when the single was released, so if you like what you hear make sure to get a copy!

Dream “Blanket Snow” MV Released

Dream

The MV for Dream’s Blanket Snow has been released.

Not to be confused with the multiple songs with the word “snow” that will probably be released in the following months, Dream have provided us with an amazing and soulful song.

This MV is packed to the brim with white dresses and everything related to winter you can think of: knee high summer dresses, snowing in every single second of the MV (even indoors), as well as a group of cute and talented performers.

Curious? Check it out and enjoy the upbeat, R&B styled song courtesy of this group. We’ll get to enjoy this single on November 18 so it’s just a matter of weeks!

Japanese Music and Youtube Red: What’s going on?

Youtube RED

As most of you might already know, Youtube RED has been something quite controversial since it was first announced. For those who don’t know it’s a service that removes ads for viewers in the US for $9.99.

Overall it sounded like a good deal since I wanted to support the creators I enjoy on Youtube a bit more, and following a Netflix style seemed like a good idea at them time. We can finally get to enjoy music and save videos offline!

But … it seems like it has come with a double-edged sword for fans of Japanese music.

Yumemiru Adolescence’s Kyoka “Sharkgirl ’99” MV Released

Kyoka Yumemiru Adolescence Sharkgirl 99

The MV for Yumemiru Adolescence’s Kyoka new solo single titled Sharkgirl ’99 has been released.

As you might recall, all of the members of the group Yumemiru Adolescence announced that they would be releasing solo songs and this is the 3rd out of the 5 we’ll be enjoying.

It’s quite an interesting title since not many people use the term “shark girl” (a kids movie comes to mind …”), but using some detective work we are able to find out why. The ’99 obviously refers to her birthdate, and the shark girl might be eluding to the more surf rock sound from the song.

Enough backstory, how’s the MV? It seems like quite a nice video since it has a cute and fun sound to it with Kyoka doing a lot of cute poses with the music. At times, it does feel a bit awkward, but regardless I’m loving the tune and the theme.

Check out the video after the break since it’s quite a nice release that showcases her cute voice!

Vanilla Beans “Onna wa Sore wo Gaman Shinai” Details Released

Details for Vanilla Beans new single titled Onna wa Sore wo Gaman Shinai / Be-nius / lonesome X have been released.

This single is their newest release since their transfer to Avex, as well as their first triple a-side:

  1. Onna wa Sore wo Gaman Shinai
  2. Be-nius
  3. lonesome X
  4. Onna wa Sore wo Gaman Shinai(Instrumental)
  5. Be-nius(Instrumental)
  6. lonesome X(Instrumental)

Thankfully the MV hasn’t been hit by the Youtube Red curse so we do get to enjoy the MV without problem over here on the states and from what we can see it does look and sound quite impressive. With a jazzy and funky tune mixed alongside a cooking show format while they stare at a random guy, it seems like a unique format.

Sure, the guy has a dead look on his face and he’s probably thinking “Do it for the paycheck … Do it for the paycheck”, but it’s a nice MV for the release.

We’ll be enjoying those sweet tunes on November 18 so get your copy!

Kadowaki Kanako To Graduate From NMB48

Kadowaki Kanako

NMB48’s Kadowaki Kanako has announced that she will be graduating.

It was announced on October 22 during NMB48 5th Anniversary LIVE in Osaka. Shortly after she also announced it on her Twitter account, alongside her goals for the future to be the best variety talent in Japan.

Again, it seems like the group is seeing quite a bit of activity since we last reported Riho Kotani would be leaving back in September. Thankfully it seems like she will be following her footsteps and is planning on becoming a talent.

Of course, fans are encouraged to attend her last performance which hasn’t been announced (might be immediate, but we don’t know since there aren’t that many details.

Either way, good luck Kadowaki Kanako!

Dorothy Little Happy “Restart” Teaser Released

Dorothy Little Happy

Dorothy Little Happy have revealed a teaser for their upcoming single titled Restart.

It’s sad to see that the group split up and left only two members, but if the song above is any indication it seems like the two are more than capable of leading the group on and “restarting” as the name of their single suggests.

The song itself has an amazing sound with the vocals of the two matching the upbeat sound of the music. Sure, we don’t get much of a preview since the video is around a minute long but it gives us a good idea of what to expect.

Shirato Kana and Takahashi Mari have shown us that Dorothy Little Happy are still alive and well so definitely continue to support the group. December 16 is the release date, so make sure to put it on your Christmas list!

Afilia Saga “Embrace Blade” MV Released

Afilia East Embrace Blade

Afilia Saga has released the MV for their single titled Embrace Blade.

This song will be the theme song for the anime Tai-mado Gakuen 35 Shiken Shotai and will come in 5 different versions. The DVD will contain the MV for the song alongside the Making Of video and will be included in Type A, B, and C with the following songs:

  1. Embrace Blade
  2. Jumping
  3. Yakusoku no Ano Sora no Hate he

There will also be an anime version with a mini drama for the anime alongside a DVD.

From the start of the song until the end, we seem to have an amazing match for the anime since the song itself has a feel that closely follows the title. With an upbeat idol sound combined with a more somber tone it seems like the perfect song to enjoy a calm evening at home.

Of course, the MV isn’t complete since the full version will be included alongside the DVD in the actual single, but we get a good taste of what’s to come and I’m hooked. With war-themed outfits matching the anime it seems like fans are in for an amazing release this November 18!
