Moga Mogami To Release 1st PB

Dempagumi.inc’s Moga Mogami has announced that she will be releasing her 1st PB.

There will be cosplay, yukata, as well as plain clothes shots so there is quite a nice array of photos for fans to enjoy. Of course, it’s a PB so some bikini shots might be present since the theme seems to be more on the sexy side.

We will find out soon enough, but for now we seem to be in for an amazing release since she does have the perfect body for that.

December 10 is the date, so fans get those wallets ready for this early Christmas gift!

New Unit “mtopi” Announced

Miki Mizuki Miki, Mari Mizuta, and Yuri Shinohara have joined up to form a new unit called mtopi.

The members are from different groups, specifically Mikichu, Pla2me, and TAKENOKO so fans of those are definitely in store for something interesting since the group seems to have quite a talented roster of girls with a colorful look that is sure to dazzle and set them apart.

There is a short video of the group after the break, which might be a bit slow for some, but regardless it’s cute to see. Check them out since they might someday be a force to be reckoned with in the idol world!

Their debut live will take place on December 5, so fans are in for an early Christmas present!

HKT48 feat. Kishidan “Shekarashika!” MV Released

HKT48 Kishidan

The MV for HKT48 and Kishidan’s collaboration song titled Shekarashika! has been released.

Shekarashika! will be the theme song for their upcoming series Majisuka Gakuen 0: Kisarazu Ranto-hen which will begin at the end of this month on November 29th.

When the combo was announced it did cause a certain amount of interest within both group’s fans since at first glance the two have completely different sounds. HKT48 has a more idolish sound while Kishidan has a more interesting form of punk with a Japanese taste.

I was a bit worried since bands have tried to do the same only to result in a random mishmash of sound, but thankfully the song so far sounds amazing. The guitars pitch in perfectly with the vocals from the idols forming a nice balance in between, similar to how Babymetal have found a happy medium in the world of harsh music and angelic voices.

New members are always exciting and it’s no different for the Country Girls who are slowly gaining a stronger foothold on the idol world. Of course, with the return of their leader it’s a perfect opportunity and I’m glad to see that we seem to have two quite talented members.

So far there isn’t much information about them apart from the short profiles, but Funaki Musubu might be familiar a bit more with H!P. Both for her longer tenure in H!P but also due to her auditioning for Morning Musume 12th generation.

It will be exciting to see where it goes from here, but until then welcome Musubu and Nanami!

Puchi PASSPO “Nekketsu Positive Revolution” MV Released

Puchi PASSPO☆ have released the MV for their song Nekketsu Positive Revolution, from their latest single titled Go Fight! Fly High!

The MV is basic in some ways, but that doesn’t take away from the amazing feel for the release that we will be enjoying with the song featuring a catchy, happy sound that is sure to please fans.

With a baseball theme and the members batting, it does seem like an interesting concept and it echoes the sound of determination in the song. Alongside the cute effects here and there I slowly became a big fan of the song, and I strongly recommend you check it out since it’s among the catchiest songs I’ve heard in some time.

The release of their latest single will be on January 20, so the single will be arriving just as soon as the new year starts!

Yurumerumo! “Mottomo Utsukushii Mono” MV Released

Yurumeru Mottomo Utsukushii Mono

Yurumerumo! have released the MV for Mottomo Utsukushii Mono.

The song is one of the tracks from their 2nd album titled YOU ARE THE WORLD, which will feature a handful of already released songs as well as 8 new songs for fans to enjoy.

Most idol songs have an upbeat sound, but Yurumerumo! went the other route and decided to feature a more haunting beat that is sure to make fans turn their heads. With a looming sound mixed in with an apocalyptic theme, it’s quite the unique theme for a group to use but I am loving the way the video was presented.

Sure, it’s not the type of song that will have you tapping your foot excitedly, but it’s a nice laid back song to listen to on a calming day. The standout is clearly the video since it has the members walking around a desert where they see a rocket shaped cardboard burn as well as some balloons floating in the wind as they walk past a (totally not store bought) flower.

November 11 is the date the single is out, so be on the lookout!

X-21 “Magical☆Kiss” MV Released

The MV for X-21’s Magical☆Kiss has been released.

It will be the theme song for the anime Jewelpet: Magical Change.

As the title of the anime suggests, the song itself has a traditional idol sound that is sure to have you humming for hours. In a way, the MV is a bit reserved with a few dance shots here and there, but it’s still a solid release with the members singing and dancing excitedly while the song plays.

There are a few kisses here and there so that was a cute addition to the title of the song, with a shot of the members writing on a piece of glass being my favorite since it adds a touch of uniqueness.

E-Girls “Merry x Merry Xmas ★” Single Announced

E-Girls have announced the release of a Christmas-themed single titled Merry x Merry Xmas★.

It will be available in three editions: CD-only, One Coin CD, as well as the usual CD+DVD Editions.

The holiday season is slowly looming close so naturally it’s time to break out the Christmas trees, holiday jingles, as well as the red and green decorations and it seems the E-girls are all set with a subtly titled Christmas release.

No preview has been released, but the title alone gives you a good idea of what to expect. Regardless, a preview should be released within this month so stay tuned.

The release date will naturally be close to Christmas, December 23 to be exact so it would be the perfect Christmas gift for those who follow the group!

Kago Ai To Resume Activities In Girls Beat!!

Kago Ai has announced on her blog that she will be resuming activities with the unit Girls Beat!!

According to her blog, she is honored to be able to work again with the group and she will be announcing when the activities of the group are determined.

As a big fan of Kago since her Morning Musume days, this seems like a perfect announcement since she has had a rocky past with many ups and downs. Seeing her being able to return to the music scene and perform is nothing short of a nice opportunity for fans to enjoy her talents once again.

They will be appearing at the IDOLidge Carnival in TAIPEIevent on December 19 in Taiwan, so if you’re in the area make sure to check out the event!
