In this week’s Shuukan Idol, we get a surprise album announcement from Momusu. There is also a new LADYBABY song, a Hello! Project Kid getting married, a WACK shuffle album, and more in our 7 highlights of the week!
News
> Morning Musume ’17 are releasing their 15th album, their first in 3 years
It’s hard to believe that it’s been 3 years since the last Momusu album. In fact, it’s been so long that this album also holds the honor to be the first to feature the 12th, 13th, and 14th generations. Naturally there are a ton of songs that will be included, which is great news for fans!
> Okumura Nonoka is graduating from Nijicon
Sad news for Nijicon fans since it seems like Nonoka will be leaving the group early next year. Many might remember her as the center of several MVs, with her cute voice giving each release a unique sound. Thankfully we still have a few more months before she leaves, so make sure to check out the full details for her final live above!
> LADYBABY releases a surprisingly heavy song out of nowhere titled Shibuya Crossing
LADYBABY have pretty heavy music for an idol group, but it seems like they can go heavier. Take their latest digital-only song for example, which features one of the catchiest instrumentals yet. Make sure to grab your copy on iTunes since it’s a limited release!
> WACK Shuffle! BiS, BiSH, GANG PARADE, and EMPiRE unite for a shuffle album
What do you get when you have 4 groups full of talented members? You shuffle ’em for an album of course. WACK did just that with each shuffled group covering some of the main group’s biggest hits, like nerve from BiS. Are you getting a copy or has WACK gone too wack?
> Sugaya Risako is married and 5 months pregnant … wait what?
This came out of nowhere, but it seems like one of the Hello! Project Kids is finally having a kid of her own. Risako recently revealed that she is married and pregnant with someone who she met earlier in the year. Congratulations to the happy couple, full details are available above!
> Oda Sakura is releasing a 2nd photobook, and I’m releasing my wallet
Call me biased, but the fact that Oda Sakura is releasing a new PB is nothing short of amazing. Sure, we don’t have covers and we don’t have many previews but we do get one single image and it’s fantastic. Full details are available above so make sure to grab your copy!
> Devil ANTHEM. get emotional, again, in the MV for EMOTIONAL.
Devil ANTHEM. released several official audio videos for their new single but it seems like we’re finally getting a proper MV release. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely since we get to see some pretty cool scenes with the members on stage and out in public expressing their emotions in interesting ways.

Encore
Kazehikaru Fukurou take flight and soar into our hearts with their MV for Tsubasa. Out November 22nd, the track is part of their major debut mini album titled Kazehikaru Fukuro.
The intro is dark and features a hooded girl dancing to a hard rapping beat. As she busts some moves she is soon interrupted by an owl who apparently hates break dancing. As we stare deep into that owl’s eye we’re instantly transported to happy idol land were Kazehikaru Fukurou sing to the beat of a catchy and upbeat song.
What happened to that girl dancing in an alley? Why do owls hate break dancing so much? We’ll never know. What we do know is that the song is catchy with a fun, dubstep-y beat which is sure to please fans of idol music all around. Make sure to check it out below!
