In this week’s Shuukan Idol, we get a boatload of MVs from groups like Malcom Mask McLaren, BiSH, GANG PARADE, BILLIE IDLE, and Musubizm. Add in an unfortunate disbandment, some album and single announcements, and you’ll get a surprisingly busy week. That and more in our 7 highlights of the week!
News
> Malcom Mask McLaren go hardcore camping for their 2nd single Existence
Camping is usually relaxing, but it seems like camping with Malcolm Mask McLaren is pretty hardcore. Sure, you’ll get to ride shopping carts and eat lunch, but all of that will happen with a hardcore instrumental in the background (which is fine by me). If you’re into heavy idol music make sure to check it out!
> Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku get colorful for Sing A Long Sing A Song
What happens if you combine neon wigs with a lot of falling down? A Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku single of course, packed full of color and a steady beat for fans to enjoy. The music is a bit on the calm side, but it’s worth checking out for the slow motion scenes alone.
> BiSH visit an airplane graveyard for My landscape
Talk about a nice surprise. BiSH fans woke up to see a shiny new MV shot in Los Angeles and a new album that seems to have come out of nowhere. Watanabe is a man of many surprises, but if it means more BiSH then I’m all for it. Check out the impressive MV above!
> GANG PARADE reach new heights for GANG PARADE
Do you still need more WACK goodness in your life? Thankfully, GANG PARADE are back with a dark MV for fans to enjoy. In fact, the track is one of their heavier releases packed full of guitars and drums. Is your desire for alternative idol satisfied? It will be with this MV.
> Morning Musume generations collide to form Morning Musume 20th
Remember the 1st generation of Morning Musume? Wouldn’t it be amazing if they joined up for one last song? Well it seems like Momusu fans got their wish since we’re getting a special version of Ai no Tane with the current Morning Musume ’17 and the original Morning Musume lineup. Thank you Tsunku, thank you.
> BILLIE IDLE slap their way into our hearts for Sayonara Romantic
BILLIE IDLE is known for their unique MVs and this one is no different. As the 80s inspired song plays we get to see the members slap each other in the behind. Why? Because that’s what BILLIE IDLE does for fun. It’s a solid release, so make sure to slap that link above!
This came out of nowhere. Musubizm, who were releasing music on a steady schedule, have suddenly announced that they will be disbanding. It seems like the world was just not ready for their amazing 80s styled idol music.

Encore
This week we have TOY SMILEY and their MV for Magical Toy Box. Out since October 31st, the single was released in Type A and B.
It has been some time since I last heard an upbeat idol song, but thankfully TOY SMILEY are here to fill that void. Color coordinated outfits? Check. An extremely upbeat instrumental with the minimum amount of synth? Check. Scenes of them being adorable while playing with colorful objects? Double check.
This MV is basically just happiness, which is something we all need from time to time (especially after that Musubizm news). Make sure to check it out below!
