Shuukan Idol – Departure Edition

shida yuumi

In this week’s Shuukan Idol, we have a large amount of graduations from group’s such as Stella Beats, Ange Reve, and Momoiro Clover Z. Add in a sprinkle of new singles and covers and you’ll have a good idea of what to expect for our 8 highlights of the week!

> Ariyasu Momoka says goodbye to Momoiro Clover Z, announces graduation

In a rather surprising twist of events, it seems like Ariyasu Momoka has announced that she will be graduating from Momoiro Clover Z. It’s a pretty big event for one the idol scene’s most well known groups. Full details are available above, so make sure to check out why she decided to leave.

> Tachibana Haruka is leaving Ange Reve due to panic disorder

A panic disorder is not easy to manage, and unfortunately many idols who have this condition tend to leave their groups. The latest is Tachibana Haruka who has announced that she will no longer be part of Ange Reve. It’s a sad occasion but one that has a happy ending for her and fans alike.

> Desu. Rabbits will show us the dark idol world in their new single

Remember Death Rabbits? The group now goes by Desu. Rabbits and reviews instant ramen on Youtube for some reason. But, it seems like that’s soon to change with the announcement of a rather dark single release. Check out the rather dark cover in the post above and see for yourself.

> Fujita Akari is leaving Stella Beats and the entertainment industry

Rounding out the final graduations for this week we get Fujita Akari who announced that she would be leaving Stella Beats. It’s a sad occasion and one that unfortunately doesn’t have much background to it. All we know is mentioned in the post above, best of luck Akari!

> SCANDAL go red in the covers for their 8th album HONEY

Do you like the color red? If you said yes then you’re in luck since the covers for the latest album for SCANDAL have been released. Featuring some of the brightest reds detectable by the human eye and the most interesting cutout choices, they are sure to please fans and grab the attention of any passerby.

> Niji no Conquistador follow their heart’s melody, announce new DVD single

Nijicon are having a pretty solid start to the single. Not convinced? They just announced a new DVD single, while also announcing a solo release for one of the members, as well as a new leader. That by itself is worth at least a look, so make sure to check it out above!

> BiSH are releasing a 3rd single titled PAiNT it BLACK

BiSH releases are always pretty epic. Add in an anime tie-in and a slight reference to a Rolling Stones song and you have a pretty solid winner in my book. Will this single be as epic and fun as Ling Ling’s hairstyles? Time will tell.

> LADYBABY are recruiting new members, announce memorial album

LADYBABY have been relatively quiet since we got the news that Kuromiya Rei would be leaving the group. However, it seems like Kaneko Rie has decided to not only continue the group, but also to recruit a variety of members. Best part of this announcement? It seems like we’re going back to simple LADYBABY instead of The Idol Formerly Known As LADYBABY.

This week we have Parallel Dream and their video for To wish, their 2nd single released since December 27th.

In this rather simple release we get to see the members as they sing in front of a green screen packed full of light effects. It’s incredibly simple and looks like a colorful screensaver from a rather outdated computer. Thankfully, the song itself is rather calm and catchy with a ballad sound that fans are sure to enjoy.

Will this win awards for its amazing visuals? No, but it’s still a solid single for this group, so make sure to check it out below!
