Morning Musume ’16 have announced the start of new member auditions titled Morning Musume。16 Shinseiki Audition for their 13th generation.

The auditions are looking for members around 10 to 17 years old, with further details such as dates and audition locations being announced soon.

With the graduation of Sayashi Riho, new members are definitely needed for this iconic idol group. Sure, Fukumura Mizuki is doing an amazing job as the leader, and all the members are solid, but having some new members can definitely help them become an even more solid group.

Momusu fans such as myself fondly remember the excitement generated with each audition. It seems like just yesterday as we saw the audition for the 9th generation where Sayashi Riho, Fukumura Mizuki, Ishida Ayumi, and Suzuki Kanon were added.

The excitement as we rooted for each member, the sadness as talented girls were eliminated. It’s a perfect way to see just what talent we’ll get to enjoy with our next generation.

So far no other info has been revealed, but it seems like we will be seeing the new member(s) being added around Summer or Fall.

A preview for Fukumura Mizuki’s solo Blu-ray titled Yuubae has been released.

There are some things that are universally thought to be beautiful. Flowers blowing in the wind, sunsets on a beach as the waves crash, and of course, Fukumura Mizuki as she smiles.

Thankfully, those of us who are big fans of Fuku-chan won’t have to wait more for a preview of her upcoming Blu-ray since the digest was released recently, and the scenes are simply stunning.

Scenes of her running on the beach, smiling at the camera, and playfully enjoying the breeze in a cute dress on a mountaintop are just a few of the things to enjoy in the preview.

Mizuki fans are probably already watching the video, so why wait!

The Blu-ray will be out on January 20, so it’s just a matter of weeks before then!

The MV for Morning Musume 15’s One and Only has been released.

Most of us have already heard the tune, and how different it is to other songs with all of the lyrics in English.

With a playful style the MV features a variety of shots with colorful backgrounds and a dance shot in front of a map of the world. As for the lyrics, fans of the softer and playful Momusu will be happy since the songs are happy and somewhat in the vein of Mikan but in a more mature way that the group is going for.

It’s nice to see that they feature the lyrics of the chorus in a variety of languages since it is a sign that the group is going for a more global aspect. All in all, it’s an amazing song that is sure to have fans bobbing their heads along to the beat.

Morning Musume ’15 has released the MV for their song titled Tsumetai Kaze to Kataomoi.

Fans of the group might remember that Morning Musume underwent a more mature tone for a while, and it seems like those who loved Shouganai Yume Oibito are in for a treat.

With a dance break that is sure to make even the pros turn their heads, and a soft tender idol beat layered with a heavenly white glow. This MV is certainly amongst the best I’ve seen for the group, and the random scenes with Riho and her solo dance shots are just the cherry on top of this idol cake.

Make sure to check out the MV since it definitely showcases Sayashi Riho’s talent in a stunning way.

The MV for Morning Musume ’15’s ENDLESS SKY has been released.

With a soft beat that reminds you of a soft sky sunrise, the song has managed to change my opinion on the softer idol songs.

Usually, it’s not my main choice but seeing the members dancing on a heavenly setting with a soft dance it seems like one of the more impressive MVs I’ve seen.

It’s certainly a perfect leading track for the last single from Riho, so definitely make sure to check it out since the shots are among the most impressive we’ve seen.

The covers for Morning Musume 15’s latest single titled Tsumetai Kaze to Kataomoi / ENDLESS SKY / One and Only have been released.

This will be Sayashi Riho’s last single so in a way it’s nice to see that focus is on her on some covers, such as the A versions and a few of the others.  With a nice contrasting theme for each resulting a nice mix without a set look for each.

The main thing that stands out would be the lack of a solo cover, but due to the abrupt announcement it’s only natural. Despite that, we should see some nice highlighting of her skills in this coming single.

Preview will start rolling in soon so keep those fingers crossed we get an early Christmas gift. Release is set for December 29, so stay tuned since this will be among the most epic for the group!

Morning Musume ’16 have announced that they will be performing in Houston.

They will be performing in the Anime Matsuri as main guests.

Japanese artists have been finding more and more success with performances in the US lately. Sure, almost all of the performances are part of a convention or for FC members, but those are the best ways for them to show the world their music.

Being a big Momusu fan, I have always wanted to attend a concert and it seems like I’ll be able to live out that dream soon since Houston is right around my area.

The convention will take place in February 26 – 28, so make sure to get those tickets when the info is revealed since I will certainly be going!

Fukumura Mizuki’s solo Blu-ray has been announced.

Being a Fuku-hime fan, I was nothing short of delighted to see that the solo Blu-ray has finally been announced. Of course, there is currently no title, but it’s a release that should not be passed up if you’re planning on getting the PB since it’s the perfect complement for the release.

Release is set for January 20, so it’s just a matter of time!
