POP 2nd Single Announced

POP Period of Plastic 2 Mercy

POP, also known as Period of Plastic 2 Mercy, have announced the release of a currently untitled 2nd single.

All we know at the moment is that Kamiya Saki will be part of the single as well as it featuring 2 songs.

Other than that we are pretty much in the dark for this release, but I am excited to find out a bit more about this since it seems like a nice way to showcase the skills and theme they will be kicking off the year off with.

Release is set for March 15, but more details will be released soon!

Takebe Yuzuna To Rejoin E-girls

Takebe Yuzuna

Takebe Yuzuna has announced that she will be rejoining E-girls.

After joining the group, and then being moved to training as part of Rabbits, it seems like the manager has had a change of heart and she has now been permitted to join E-girls once more.

It seems like her skills have finally been honed so hopefully we get to see her perform soon!

Moso Calibration Omotenadeshiko

Moso Calibration has released the MV for their song titled Omotenadeshiko Denshouchu.

Idol songs are usually happy and go lucky, and this one is no exception with an upbeat sound that is sure to have you tapping your feet as the song plays. The main standout of this release would definitely have to be the fact that the MV is partially animated.

With bright colors and many fun visuals, it’s certainly among the catchiest releases this year with more colors than a crayon box. Don’t miss out on this cute and fun MV and check it out after the break.

Release is set for the new year, literally being out on January 1, so make sure to start of the year with a bang!

Gachari Spin Final na Fantasy

The MV for Gacharic Spin’s Final na Fantasy has been released.

With a completely ridiculous and fun theme, we get to hear this song with an inspirational sound as TOMO-ZO sings and the rest of the members turn into aliens and dance in outer space.

Is it ridiculous? Yes. Is it fun and catchy? Of course! Check it out after the break since it’s an amazing treat from this multi-talented band.

December 16 is the DVD release where the MV is featured, so make sure to get that DVD to enjoy even more Gacharic goodness!

Singles are definitely a good way for members to stand out, and thankfully it seems like we’re finally getting a chance to enjoy Nana’s voice a bit more with the release of this single.

Despite the fashionable dress mixed with what appear to be sneakers, it seems like a nice mature theme with a deep sound to it.

We’ll be getting a more detailed look next week once the single is out, but for now, it seems like a perfect release for fans of Nana.

Release is set for December 23, so we’re only a week away!

AKB48’s 43rd Single Announced, To Feature Former Members

AKB48’s 43rd single, currently untitled, has been announced.

According to the info released during their Kohaku Uta Gassen 2015 event, it seems like former members Itano Tomomi, Maeda Atsuko, Oshima, Yuko, Shinoda Mariko, and Takahashi Minami will be participating in the single as well.

This single will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the group so having some of the members who shaped up the group for this monumental release is nothing short of a dream come true.

Of course, no other info is known but it seems like we are in for an amazing release since this means that we haven’t seen the last of some of these historic members that shaped up AKB48 into what it is today.

Release is set for March 9, so it’s currently a few months away, but the hype is real for this new single!

Yurumerumo! 2nd Album MVs Released

Yurumerumo! id Idol Only You

The MVs for Yurumerumo!’s id Idol and Only You from their 2nd album titled YOU ARE THE WORLD have been released.

id Idol features an interesting concept with the director shooting all of the members in a realistic manner while shots of them trying out clothes, playing, and doing random things play in the background. As for the song, it’s a slower title with the members singing in an interesting manner but with a classic idol tune.

Only You sounds like a more ballad led title, but in reality, it features the same chaos from the 1st song, but with a more technological approach. The video is a bit all over the place but colorful and fits the mood of the song well.

It’s one of the trippier releases of the album with it being basically a long acid trip with some idol vocals. Definitely worth a look, but a bit on the more … artistic … side of the idol spectrum.

November 11 was the release so it has been a while since the album has been out, but it does help boost interest in the songs to release the MVs a bit later on.

Momoiro Clover Z Hip Hop Selection Vinyl

Momoiro Clover Z have announced the release of a Holiday single titled HIP HOP SELECTION 7inch VINYL – LIMITED EDITION.

There will be two tracks in the single: 5 The POWER, as well as Mokkuro ni naru Hate which are both hip hop tracks (not surprising).

Since it is a Christmas single it will most likely have a nice Holiday theme for fans to enjoy, bells and such. Still, we have no idea what to expect other than some of the cutest rappers we’ve seen.

Release will be during their performance on Christmas titled Momoiro Christmas 2015 ~Beautiful Survivors~ on the 23rd-25th.

BABYMETAL New Album, World Tour Announced

A new album and world tour for BABYMETAL have been announced.

Details for the new album are slim to none with no title or previews released, but it has been around 2 years since their last release so it is very long overdue.

There will be 3 types: Regular, Limited (+DVD), and an FC version titled THE ONE. Clearly Fan Club members are getting some love with this release, but the other two versions sound good so far. No details on what they contain has been mentioned though.

Despite that the concerts haven’t been on the slim side since that is what they have been mainly doing and thankfully it seems like we are in for another massive tour with England and the Tokyo Dome within the tour dates. No other dates are known so we don’t know where else they could be going at the moment.

April 1st is the release of the new album, with the concert tour hitting it off on April 2nd from Wembley, England.
