In this week’s Shuukan Idol, we get a fairly good mix of upbeat releases from Ciao Bella Cinquetti, Q’ulle, Yanakoto Sotto Mute, notall, and Momoiro Clover Z.
That and more in our top 6 highlights of the week!
After releasing a fairly passionate song, Ciao Bella Cinquetti are back to release an MV that is sure to put a smile on the face of fans. It’s colorful, fun, and packed full of delightful little touches that help give it a unique look, so make sure to check it out!
Juice=Juice suffered a blow this week with the news that Miyamoto Karin was unable to sing. Of course, an idol relies on her voice so it’s not surprising to see that she is doing everything she can to recover it. Full details are available above!
notall have released a free CD for fans to get and to help promote it they have released an MV packed full of hashtags. With the help of 16 other idols, they’ve managed to release a solid upbeat single that fans will adore.
Nothing says party like a video filmed in someone’s backyard and a VR video where you can stare at a crowd of people. It’s a unique way of promoting their latest single DRY AI, and it’s sure to give fans a taste of the coupling track that will come with this must-have release.
What do you get when you combine a desert, some idols, and an upbeat rock song? A Yanakoto Sotto Mute release of course, and one that is by far one of the catchiest I’ve heard from them. If you’re new to the group, make sure to check out the MV above!
Momoclo are an interesting group, and their latest single BLAST! is a great example of that. Featuring the members as they compete in a series of Olympic events, we get to enjoy a fairly calm but upbeat song. It’s a treat that is sure to get everyone pumped for the Olympics!

This week we have RYUTist and their track titled Yumemiru Hanakouji. Out August 1st, the track is part of their 3rd album titled Ryuto Geigi.
We get to enjoy a soft stroll through town as RYUTist wear kimonos and sing to the tune of a ballad. It’s a relaxing MV and one that shows off the small town charm that few people get to enjoy.
It’s not the most upbeat of songs, but if you’re looking for a soft melody to enjoy, this is definitely among the best releases for that this summer!
If you liked that kimono packed release, make sure to check out their latest album and their other releases below:
That’s it for this week, make sure to stay tuned for the next one!
