News

> Appare! Harajuku dance the day away in the colorful MV for Appare Summer!!

Sometimes all you need is some incredibly happy and cheerful idol music to get you through the day. And balloons. A lot of balloons. Well, you’re in luck because the latest Appare! Harajuku is packed to the brim with cheerfulness, balloons, and colorful decorations. It’s classic idol at its best!

> SUPER☆GiRLS chill in a colorful house in POP!!POP!!POP!! and sing at a school in White Melody

SUPER GiRLS have been pretty active this week with a couple of short MVs released earlier this week. The first shows off the members in a colorful house as they sing along to a unique sounding song, while the second has a classic school theme. They’re pretty simple but the songs fun to listen to, so give them a watch.

> Perfume have a chill day out in the lyric MV for Nananananairo

Perfume are just about to release their best-of album and to celebrate they’re releasing a digital single of a new song. The MV is less of an MV and more of a series of short scenes featuring the members as they relax in town, go swimming, and do some painting. It’s a chill way to enjoy a slightly hip-hop-ish song from Perfume.

> SKE48 have a house party with bubbles in the MV for FRUSTRATION

What comes to mind when you think of hip hop music videos? House parties? Rappers singing along to the beat of the song? A ton of bubbles? The latest SKE48 MV has all of that and more in what is a unique departure from their traditional sound. Highly recommended!

> BiSH jump from scene to scene in the MV for MORE THAN LiKE

BiSH MVs are a treat to watch. They have unique themes and are a breath of fresh air in the world of idol. Their latest MV is among their most unique which shows off the members as they jump from scene to scene. It’s a well done effect, with the members flawlessly “jumping” between each shot. This is a must see!

> STU48 show off their boat in the MV for Daisuki na Hito

STU48 were working on a boat a while back, and while it was delayed and delayed it’s finally been completed. There’s no better way to celebrate than an MV where we get to see the members dancing on the boat in a variety of areas. Yes, it’s less of an MV and more of a CM for the boat, but it’s pretty well done.

> BABYMETAL dance on a fiery platform for their PA PA PAYA!! (feat F.HERO) MV

BABYMETAL are the queens of live idol rock performances, and they’re showing off an impressive one for their latest digital single. In it we see platforms with fire coming out of them, massive crowds cheering, and a 3rd (temporary) member in the form of Sakura Gakuin’s Fujihara Kano. It’s epic.

This week we have Luce Twinkle Wink and their MV for Wonder Five. Out August 5th, the release will be their 1st DVD single.

Beach MVs are popular around this time of the year, and the 1st DVD single from Luce Twinkle Wink has the members dancing in front of a bright ocean. I’ll be the first to admit that I haven’t heard of the group before, but after hearing the song I’ll be keeping an eye on them since they are pretty talented.

The MV for Wonder Five has an upbeat ballad that plays as the members dance in a variety of bright, colorful scenes. They almost all take in place in front of the ocean, where the members switch from casual outfits to idol dresses. Yes, there are a couple of other scenes, like them singing from a pool or from a car but most of the MV focuses on the bright blue water which is fantastic.

It’s a simple MV that is not going to win any awards for visual effects, but it’s something fun to enjoy if you want to get your idol fix.
