Kobushi Factory “Sakura Night Fever” MV Released

Kobushi Factory Sakura Night Fever MV

Kobushi Factory has released the MV for their song titled Sakura Night Fever.

This song is part of their upcoming single which was released on February 17 alongside Chotto Guchoku ni! Chototsu Moushin and Osu! Kobushi Tamashii.

Featuring the average weight of a group of idols in Sakura petals, this MV has a calm catchy sound that sounds similar to Country Girls and their song Boogie Woogie LOVE at the beginning but with a catchy idol touch.

It’s definitely my favorite from the group so far that I have heard, but it seems like they are doing an amazing job of showcasing their talent.

Great MV, an even more amazing song, it’s the complete idol package.

Make sure to check it out!

Country Girls “Koi wa Magnet” MV Released

Country Girls Koi wa Magnet MV

Country Girls have released the MV for their single titled Koi wa Magnet.

Part of their upcoming triple a-side single alongside Boogie Woogie LOVE / Ranrarn ~Anata ni Muchuu~ which will be released March 9th.

While Boogie Woogie LOVE had a more funky sound, this song has a more passionate ballad sound that matches the traditional idol feel of the title.

Calm, relaxing, catchy, and full of chimes with a slight electronic touch during the bridge of the song. It’s certainly a solid entry into this release, despite the somewhat repetitive setting they are in and the blur effect in some shots.

Worth a look for fans of the calm type of songs!

Country Girls “Boogie Woogie LOVE” MV Released

Country Girls Boogie Woogie Love

Country Girls have released the MV for Boogie Woogie LOVE.

Releasing March 9th, this song is notable for having a funky look with a 60’s roller disco cafe theme to it thanks to the covers which were released earlier.

As expected, there is a funky instrumental full of Jazz tones that mix perfectly with the vocals of the members to form a solid song that is sure to have you jamming.

I’m not that big of a fan of songs with Jazz, but I have to admit that this song is catchy with a sound that replicates the era well. The addition of the cafe is a nice touch, and while it resorts to the usual idol shots of the members looking at the camera and singing, it is still a good setting.

Overall it’s an amazing song with a Jazzy overtone, but the lack of other areas in the MV seems to drag on at times. Still it’s recommended for those who are fans of that type of song!

Country Girls “Boogie Woogie LOVE” Covers Released

Country Girls Boogie Woogie Love Cover Regular A
Regular A

The covers for the next Country Girls single titled Boogie Woogie LOVE / Koi wa Magnet / Ranrarun ~Anata ni Muchuu~ have been released.

Apart from featuring a mouthful of a title, the single will be released in 6 editions on March 9th, 3 limited and 3 regular versions. This will also be the 1st single for the new generation featuring Funaki Musubu and Yanagawa Nanami.

Like always, Hello! Project is great at providing us a variety of covers with different themes for each of the songs and for the most part most of them are pretty solid.

The main track Boogie Woogie LOVE seems to have a nice 60’s sound to it with the roller disco outfits and setting that we get to see. In contrast, Koi wa Magnet seems to have more of a ballad feel with the title and blue dresses in a somber place.

Ranrarun is the interesting one since it’s apparently a cover of a song by Linda Scott titled I’ve Told Every Little Star, which is a bit out of the ordinary since covers aren’t that common. Still, it gives them a nice chance to showcase the song in a new way.

Overall, the covers are solid and well worth a look!

Natsumi Abe Announces She Is Pregnant

Abe Natsumi Yamazaki Ikusaburo

Former Morning Musume member Natsumi Abe and her husband Ikusaburo Yamazak have announced that they are expecting their 1st baby.

She had announced her marriage quite recently back in December, so it’s nice to see that the couple have been working on building up a family. Of course, they have been dating since 2011 so it seems like perfect timing to have another member of the family on the way.

When it rains it pours it seems, with many Hello! Project members getting married or having babies, most recently Satoda Mai who gave birth just a few days ago. It’s always happy news though since they are sharing their joy of being together with the fans that supported them for years.

No other details have been released other than them mentioning that the pregnancy was stable (around 12 weeks in), so we look forward to finding out more when the time comes.

Congrats Abe!

LoVendoЯ “Itsuwari” MV Released

Lovendor Fake MV

LoVendoЯ have just released the MV for the second half of their upcoming single titled Itsuwari.

The previous MV titled Takaramono was released a few days ago.

Releasing February 24, this single has already shown us the softer side of the group, but many imagine the group being more on the harder rock side.

Thankfully Itsuwari has shown us just that with a catchy sound paired with some amazing vocals.

The setting might be a bit on the basic side but the song just blasts through and makes you want to rock out alongside Reina and the other members. The guitars are on point and come out strong, and the bridge of the song leaves you speechless.

This is a solid single with the ballad Takaramono balancing out the sound for an impressive release, well worth checking out for fans of the heavier side!

Country Girl’s Morito Chisaki To Release Mini-PB

Country Girls Morito Chisaki PB

Morito Chisaki from the Country Girls will be releasing a mini-PB titled Greeting-Photobook-.

Releasing February 19th, the PB will feature scenes from her solo DVD that was released back in September titled Greeting ~Morito Chisaki~.

A mini-PB might not exactly be a full release but I’m glad to see that fans will be able to have a release to enjoy from Chisaki since not many members get to have one of their own.

As expected, if you have already seen the solo DVD then you know exactly what to expect once it’s released.

Make sure to check out the H!P site for more info on how to order, but it’s definitely a must have for Chisaki fans!

Up Up Girls 20th Single “Party People Alien / Seven☆Peace” Announced

Up Girls Party People Alien Seven Peace Cover Regular
Regular

Up Up Girls have announced the release of their 20th single titled Party People Alien / Seven☆Peace.

Releasing April 5th, this single will be released in 3 versions for fans to enjoy. Limited A will feature an additional track titled Shout!!!!!!!, while Limited B will feature Seishun no Namida, and Regular will feature Appare.

The group has been using a more EDM heavy sound so naturally the leading track Party People Alien will feature that sound.

All of the additional tracks have already been performed at lives (they’ll be added after the break to check out), so fans are sure to be happy to see that they can now get the songs in CDs. Of course, the fact that each version has an exclusive track is a big bonus since it will definitely help them get the 40,000 copy mark they have set for themselves.

As for the covers, they might not be that different (especially between Limited), but the fact that Minami has a look that makes my wota heart blush and my wallet fly towards the screen is definitely the highlight. Likewise, the title is a bit on the somewhat random side but it will be fun to see how they tie in with the sound.

It seems like the Up Up Girls are slowly but surely gaining traction, so it will be fun to see them get to the top spot of Oricon soon, endless party time!

LoVendoЯ “Takaramono” MV Released

Lovendor Takaramono MV

The MV for LoVendoЯ’s Takaramono has been released.

The single will be out February 24, so we’re just a few weeks away from this release and it’s great that we get to experience a song that Tanaka Reina wrote since it is certainly a treasure for fans.

As expected of the title, the song is laid back and talks about the happy feeling and memories you get from friends and family. The beat is strong but catchy so it’s definitely among the best songs I have heard in a while since you can feel the passion.

Being the first Lovendor song I have heard I am certainly impressed to see just how Reina has grown the group into something that is sure to have fans happy.

Well worth a look for fans of ballads and Reina!
