Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has announced the release of a new single titled Sai & Kou.

Releasing on April 20th, this single will be part of her 5 point plan she announced for her 5th anniversary. It will also be used as a tie-in for a Coca Cola CM.

As expected, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu has started off her 5th anniversary with a bang and announced some new releases for fans to enjoy. The song itself is a bit too calm for my taste but it certainly feels like it fits in with the look of Coca-Cola, so it’s like a match made in heaven.

Regardless, the single looks solid and perfect for those looking for a way to celebrate 5 years of her amazing and unique songs that have shown us the creative and colorful side of life.

Nogizaka46 “Futougou” and “Tsuyogari Tsubomi” MVs Released

Nogizaka46 Harujion ga Saku Koro

Nogizaka46 have released 2 MVs from their upcoming 14th single titled Harujion ga Saku Koro.

Releasing March 23rd, the two MVs for Futougou and Tsuyogari Tsubomi will only be available until March 22nd at 23:59 (JST).

Futougou is performed by the Under Girls, which will be part of the Type D edition of the single. Members that are part of this unit include Saito Yuuri, Terada Ranze, Kitano Hinako, and Higuchi Hina with Nakamaoto Himeka as center.

Tsuyogari Tsubomi is the B-side for Type A and it’s a solo song by Fukagawa Mai who as you might remember will be graduating from the group soon.

Unfortunately both MVs are region locked (no surprise) so if you’re lucky enough to be able to watch them I highly encourage you to do so since that, combined with the time limit on the MVs, is a massive limitation for many fans of this up and coming group.

While most of us might not be able to see the actual MVs, I encourage everyone who’s interested to get a copy of the single so they can enjoy them as soon as the single is released!

Maison book girl have released the MV for lost AGE.

The track is part of their 1st EP titled summer continue which will be out by March 30.

As the outfit for this release suggests, we get to hear a calm but strong beat with relaxed vocals that make for an interesting mash-up of sounds.

The members do an amazing job of showcasing their vocals and while the setting might be a bit too simple, I am enjoying the additions that add a bit of spice. Smoke, blood red lighting, as well as pitch black effects all add their touch to the track and give it a surreal look.

Well recommended for fans of the creative aspect of music since this is certainly a unique release!

The song itself is happy and catchy with a strong electronic feeling that is well worth a look for fans of the happier side of idols.

BABYMETAL “KARATE” MV Released

BABYMETAL KARATE MV

BABYMETAL have released the MV for a track from their upcoming 2nd album titled KARATE.

Releasing April 1st, the album will be titled METAL RESISTANCE and will be available in 3 different versions: Regular, Limited, and THE ONE versions.

It has been some time since we have heard of BABYMETAL, mainly due to their focus on touring. Thankfully, they have made a massive comeback with a catchy rock heavy song that starts off with a nice beat and follows the group as they do Karate moves to the song.

The song itself has some laid back vocals but they match the rock heavy beat in a particular way. The MV has some amazing imagery, with the members dressed in white coming out culminating in them with black dresses doing the fox sign.

It’s a must see for BABYMETAL fans!

LADYBABY  has released the MVs for both tracks from their upcoming single titled Renge Chance! and C’est si Bon Kibun.

Releasing April 13th, this single is nothing short of a treat for fans who have been waiting for more from this unlikely metal pop trio.

As expected the songs are as absurd as they are cool, with the main track Renge Chance! featuring the members as they sing about ramen. The guitars, the dance moves where they are shaking ramen, and LADYBEARD singing into the ramen handle is just epic beyond words.

Likewise, C’est si Bon Kibun features a song about konbini with a catchy EDM touch to the metal song. While a bit more laid back compared to the main track, it still completes the single well with a more laid back sound that is sure to have you enjoying every second.

Niji no Conquistador’s Nemoto Nagi has released her solo song titled America.

The song has been released as part of her birthday and in collaboration with Mikeneko Homeless and Masayoshi Iimori for Maltine Records.

Nemoto Nagi is without a doubt among the top members of Nijicon and with good reason. She’s obviously quite cute, her voice is talented, and she seems to radiate an aura that is hard to compare with so it’s no surprise to see that she has been regularly releasing solo songs for a while now (I’m completely biased) .

This time with her 2nd solo song, we get to enjoy a song that has the most American theme you can imagine, with an American flag bikini as well as rapping to showcase her voice. I might not be a big fan of rap but even I have to admit that she does a great job with the lyrics and the beat is solid.

The song is so solid that we even got a site set up just to promote it! Sure, it might only have a photo of her which plays the song when you press on it, but it should be enough for fans who will no doubt be in Nagi heaven.

Of course there are a few things that stand out, mainly how the song is a tad laid back and the visuals are a bit too flashy at times.
