Sayaka Yamamoto To Leave AKB48, Focus on NMB48

AKB48 NMB48 Sayaka Yamamoto

Sayaka Yamamoto has announced that she will be graduating from AKB48.

She will be instead focusing on NMB48, where she serves as the team captain for Team N. The decision comes as a result of her wanting to focus on the group after the graduation of Miyuki Watanabe.

While sad, it seems like a natural evolution of the group as members shift and leave to let newer generations show off a new set of skills.

It will be exciting to see just how this new NMB48 does since it seems like they are on the correct track with their latest single Amagami Hime.

Best of luck Sayaka Yamamoto, lead NMB48 well!

NMB48’s Miyuki Watanabe Announced Graduation

NMB48 Miyuki Watanabe

NMB48 has announced that Miyuki Watanabe will be graduating from the group.

The announcement was done at their performance at NMB48 on April 13th. There is no clear date for her graduation set yet.

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like the exact reason for her graduation was released but it seems like she will be remaning in show business. According to fans, she was talking about her graduation at the end of the performance with tearful eyes.

Her decision to leave was apparently made up in December 2015, so it’s been a decision she has thought about for a while. It seems like she does want to leave newer generations have their share of the spotlight so it’s good to see that she is thinking of them.

Best of luck Miyuki Watanabe!

NMB48 “Niji no Tsukurikata” MV Released

NMB48 Amagami Hime Cover D
Type D

NMB48 have released the MV for the track Niji no Tsukurikata.

The track is part of the Type D version of the Amagami Hime single for the group, which will be releasing April 27th.

As expected of the title (How to make a rainbow), the song is on the lighthearted, with scenes of Ota Yuuri, Yabushita Shu, Shibuya Nagisa, Sutou Ririka, and Naiki Kokoro dancing alongside the ocean and playing on the fields in the ever so popular seifukus.

The song is laid back, and a bit on the calm side so it won’t be the main standout of the single. But it is the perfect way to start your weekend so make sure to check it out!
