SCANDAL is one of those bands that just seems to have a unique story and style. Harking back from street lives to becoming among the most popular girl bands to this day in Japan it’s certainly no easy feat.
How does their newest release stack up against the rest?
Former Morning Musume member Yoshizawa Hitomi has announced her engagement.
The announcement was revealed September 5 on her blog, apparently her boyfriend is a non-celebrity. They were introduced through a mutual acquaintance a year and a half ago and have been dating since then.
He has a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to take action. Moreover, he understands my personality very well. For my work, he also supported me mentally. While spending days together with full of smiles, I started feeling that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him
She also revealed how he showed hints about marriage:
We always talked about what kind of marriage I dreamed about, or what kind of family I would want to make… So one day when he picked me up after my work… I opened the car door and there was an issue of ‘Zexy’ (wedding magazine) in a plastic bag randomly placed on the passenger seat (lol). I was like ‘Eh? Could this be a proposal? Am I finally experiencing it?’, and it made my heart full of happiness.
I will continue working my very best, so please support me just like you’ve always been.
Yossie has been on of those Morning Musume members that stood out since she first joined, mainly because of her amazing personality so it’s great to see that she has finally taken the leap and got engaged. The method was a bit unique that’s for sure, but all in all, I wish the best for the happy couple. Congratulations Yossie!

AKB48 have announced the release of a currently untitled all-time, best-of album.
The release is to commemorate the 10th anniversary since their formation. It was announced on September 6 during their handshake event for their recent release Halloween Night. There will be three types:
It will also feature 10 new songs, with each release containing different new songs. The DVD will apparently contain a “virtual handshake footage” titled AKB48 Group Member Air Handshake Event 2015 where you can enjoy virtual handshakes with over 300 members.
It’s not uncommon to see best of albums being released for groups, but it’s certainly surprising to see that they decided to give every version a different amount of new songs. No doubt it will entice many to buy up all of the versions, so it will be fun to see just how well it will turn out.
The album will be released November 4.

Satoda Mai has announced that she is 5 months pregnant.
Satoda, alongside her husband Tanaka Masahiro, posted a joint letter on her blog announcing the happy news:
I want to prepare myself for childbirth in mind and body while taking care of this beloved life that is growing daily. It would make us happy if you would watch over us warmly.
It’s certainly happy news to see Hello! Project members go on and form families and while we will have to wait and see what other details are released it’s certainly an amazing addition to the family.
We should be getting some more news relating to this by the end of the year, congrats Mai!

Perfume have announced the release of a new single titled Star Train.
The track will be used for the group’s documentary movie WE ARE Perfume – WORLD TOUR 3rd DOCUMENT. The 2nd track of the single will be used as a theme song for a CM for Eisai’s CHOCOLA BB.

The DVD will also contain Perfume View, which will feature footage shot by the members.
The single will coincide with the 15th anniversary of the band so it’s quite a milestone. I’m more than excited for this release, and can’t wait to see just what kind of sound the group will use after the calm and EDM-focused Relax in the City/Pick Me Up.
The single will be released October 28.

Perfume have been at the highlight of the Japanese music scene with multiple releases topping the charts. It’s hard to deny their talent – combining a catchy electronic sound with J-pop vocals set them apart and with their newest release their refining that formula with a new twist.
