SCANDAL To Represent Japan in ABU TV Song Festival 2015

SCANDAL will be the Japanese representative on a Turkey music festival titled ABU TV SONG FESTIVAL 2015.

The event will also be viewable on participating countries so Japanese fans should be able to see it on BS Premium, NHK Sogou, and NHK World.

SCANDAL is one of those bands that embody the best qualities of Japanese music, mixing rock and idol aesthetics to form a unique sound so it’s great to see that they were chosen to represent Japan for this event. From what I can tell SCANDAL will be performing their recent release Sisters so fans are definitely in for a treat.

The event will take place October 28.

NMB48 ” Must Be Now” Previews Released

NMB48 Must Be Now

MVs for tracks featured on NMB48’s new single Must Be Now have been released.

The short MVs were uploaded recently for all of the tracks of their upcoming release.

So far the main track is sounding quite solid with a K-pop inspired style and sound that fits the group perfectly. The rest of the single has a variety of sounds, from the J-pop upbeat feel in Katamoi Yori mo Omoide wo … to the hip 80’s styled Goodbye Guitar. Kufuku de Renai wo Suru na has more of a stronger pop feel with some electronic elements that many will love while Yume ni Iro ga Nai Riyuu has a more ballad sense to it.

C-ute “Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight!” Preview Released

A preview for C-ute’s 33rd single titled Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight! has been released.

The song itself is quite fast and strong, matching the title of the song perfectly. Many fans have already mashed up the song to other anime series since it seems to fit so well. Being a long time fan of the group I’m impressed with just how much they have advanced in terms of sound and while we still have yet to hear the other half of the single it’s turning out to be pretty solid so far.

The single will be released on October 28.

Not many could have imagined how powerful AKB48 could become, but it seems like they have done an amazing job so far. To this day, they hold multiple records for millions of records sold, boast a massive amount of members spread throughout different groups, and so much more.

I do have to admit that I’m not that familiar with the group, having been a Hello! Project fan for most of my life. Recently though, I have started to spread out to more groups and this group was at the top of my list. What was I missing? What are their songs like? Thankfully I got a perfect opportunity to answer those questions with their single Halloween Night being released recently.

Perfume ” STAR TRAIN” Preview Released

A preview for Perfume’s upcoming single titled STAR TRAIN has been released.

The preview was featured in a trailer for their upcoming documentary.

From what I can tell the song has a bit of a laid back sound to it which is quite catchy. Of course, we only get 15 seconds of the song but it certainly does match the star theme that the title has. Many fans are mentioning that it does have vocals separated so solos are a bit clearer.

It will be fun to see just how this single shapes up, and of course how the PV looks. For now the song seems to be quite solid!

The release date is set for October 28.

NMB48’s Riho Kotani Announces Graduation

NMB48 Team N member Riho Kotani has announced her graduation from the group.

The announcement was made during her Osaka birthday celebration live. Kotani says she has been considering graduating from the group since last year. She wishes to remain in the entertainment industry.

It’s always sad to see a member announce their graduation from a group, and this is no exception. Hopefully we get to find out the date when she will leave so fans can go ahead and plan out their schedule accordingly.

The date for Riho Kotani’s graduation hasn’t been announced.

C-ute’s 33rd Single Announced

C-ute’s 33rd single titled Arigatou ~Mugen no Yell~ / Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight! has been announced.

The single was detailed at their recent Cutie Circuit 2015 C-ute no Hi event. Arashi wo Okosunda Exciting Fight! will be used as the cheer song for the Japan Wrestling Federation. It will be released in 6 versions: Regular editions A and B, alongside Limited editions A, B, C, and D.

The release comes a bit after C-ute’s long awaited Mexico concert happens so it seems like a perfect time for Mexican fans to enjoy a new release while getting a chance to meet up with their favorite group. The theme, of course, is the most exciting since after all a song centered on wrestling seems to be a bit unique, but I can already imagine a high energy exciteful release.

Nothing goes along better than idols and wrestling so we’ll have to see how the outfits look as well, but for now it seems like C-ute fans are in for an exciting year!

New Details Released For Kikkawa You’s 3rd Album

New details have been released for Kikkawa You’s 3rd album titled YOU the 3rd ~WILDFLOWER~.

The album will feature a sequel track to one of her last single Hana which was quite long. A title for one of the songs has been revealed though to be WILDSTRAWBERRY.

Naturally the album will be released in two editions, Regular and Limited with the limited featuring a DVD with the PV and the Making-Of.

Kikka has always been one of those talented idols who seem to not get the attention she deserves, but thankfully it seems like we are getting more attention. There isn’t much of a preview for what to expect but from the picture above it seems like we’ll get some … mirrors?

Regardless, we will definitely get a great release so I’ll be looking forward to the album previews as the release date gets closer.

The album will be released October 14.
