Utada Hikaru has released short MVs for her newest singles titled Hanataba wo Kimi ni and Manatsu no Tooriame.
Both singles have been out since April 4th, but it’s definitely a nice touch to show off the short MVs on a special page with lyrics so those who are curious about her return can enjoy them before getting a copy of the single.
Hanataba wo Kimi ni has a cute paper look to it that matches the soft melody of the song perfectly. Likewise, Manatsu no Tooriame has a more natural look to it with scenes of flowers, campfires, and nature.

Utada Hikaru has announced that she will be ending her hiatus and making her comeback to the music industry.
This was confirmed alongside with the confirmation that two new songs will air on Japanese TV. The 1st titled Hanataba wo Kimi ni will be the theme song for Toto Nee-chan, while the 2nd song is currently untitled but it will be used as the ending theme for NEWS ZERO.
To celebrate staff has launched an interesting project titled NEW-TURN Project. This site provides fans a chance to welcome her back by tying in a campaign with the hashtag “#おかえりHIKKI”.
Every time someone uses the hashtag a cherry blossom will bloom on the main page, and a portion of the proceeds of the campaign will go towards planting cherry blossom trees in areas affected by the recent East Japan earthquake.
The title speaks by itself. If you’re a fan of Japanese music it’s inevitable that you’ve heard songs from Hikaru at some time, so it’s incredible news since we’ll be able to enjoy more of her amazing singing.
What does the future hold in store for her? We’re not sure, but all we know is we’ll be enjoying more of Utada Hikaru’s amazing voice soon!
After giving birth and focusing on her newborn, it seems like Utada Hikaru has been working on new music.
She currently resides in London with her husband and baby boy, but she has mentioned they might be moving back to Japan in Summer 2016.
Anyone who’s been into Japanese music has a general idea of who she is so the fact that she’s working on new music is nothing short of an exciting piece of news since we might be getting a release sometime soon.
