LADYBABY “Renge Chance!” and “C’est si Bon Kibun” MVs Released

Ladybaby Renge Chance Cover

LADYBABY  has released the MVs for both tracks from their upcoming single titled Renge Chance! and C’est si Bon Kibun.

Releasing April 13th, this single is nothing short of a treat for fans who have been waiting for more from this unlikely metal pop trio.

As expected the songs are as absurd as they are cool, with the main track Renge Chance! featuring the members as they sing about ramen. The guitars, the dance moves where they are shaking ramen, and LADYBEARD singing into the ramen handle is just epic beyond words.

Likewise, C’est si Bon Kibun features a song about konbini with a catchy EDM touch to the metal song. While a bit more laid back compared to the main track, it still completes the single well with a more laid back sound that is sure to have you enjoying every second.

The entire single is amazing and full of treats for fans, so make sure to check out both MVs after the break!

Nemoto Nagi “America” Solo Song Released

Niji no Conquistador Nemoto Nagi America

Niji no Conquistador’s Nemoto Nagi has released her solo song titled America.

The song has been released as part of her birthday and in collaboration with Mikeneko Homeless and Masayoshi Iimori for Maltine Records.

Nemoto Nagi is without a doubt among the top members of Nijicon and with good reason. She’s obviously quite cute, her voice is talented, and she seems to radiate an aura that is hard to compare with so it’s no surprise to see that she has been regularly releasing solo songs for a while now (I’m completely biased) .

This time with her 2nd solo song, we get to enjoy a song that has the most American theme you can imagine, with an American flag bikini as well as rapping to showcase her voice. I might not be a big fan of rap but even I have to admit that she does a great job with the lyrics and the beat is solid.

The song is so solid that we even got a site set up just to promote it! Sure, it might only have a photo of her which plays the song when you press on it, but it should be enough for fans who will no doubt be in Nagi heaven.

Make sure to check out the song since it’s definitely among Nagi’s most interesting releases!

callme “Can not change nothing” MV Released

Callme Can not change nothing MV

callme have released the MV for their song Can not change nothing.

Releasing April 6th, the single will be available in 6 versions.

  • Type A – DVD with the MV
  • Type B – DVD with live footage from their performance titled Live Museum 2015 Who is callme? at CLUB CITTA
  • Type C – CD Only with an additional track titled You’re my true friend
  • Type D, Type E, Type F – CD-only versions with solo shots of the members

The single has also been chosen as the ED theme for the drama Kanagawa-ken Atsugi-shi Laundry Chigasaki.

The song itself has a nice beat that the group is well known for and is definitely a prime example of what to expect from this interesting trio of idols.

Of course there are a few things that stand out, mainly how the song is a tad laid back and the visuals are a bit too flashy at times.

Regardless, the song is pretty solid and well worth a look for those who are fans of the electronic side of idol music. Head after the break and check out the MV!

Kotone Mai To Graduate From Solo Activies, Form A Unit

Kotone Mai Solo Graduation

Kotone Mai has announced that she will be ending her solo career and will instead be creating her own unit.

The date for graduation is set for August 14th and will take place at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM. The members for her own unit have been gathered through an audition she held.

While she might not be as mainstream as the other idols and groups in Japan right now, Mai is well known in the underground scene. Having gathered a large following through her multiple performances around Japan it seems like she had a solid career as a solo idol.

That might be true, it seems like she wants to spread her wings and try out a new frontier and while sad it’s great to see that she will be staying in the music scene.

Best of luck Mai and hopefully we get to hear more about her unit this Fall!

Morning Musume ’16 61st Single Announced

Morning Musume 16 Tokyo Katsumi Single
Image: Barks.jp

Morning Musume ’16 have announced the release of their 61st single titled Tokyo to Iu Katasumi.

Releasing May 11th, it will be a triple a-side (the two other tracks are currently untitled) and will be the last for Suzuki Kanon. The title of the single translates to A Corner called Tokyo. According to fan reports, this seems to be a Masaki and Oda lead song but this has not been confirmed.

The song itself has a techno feel to it with a mature sound and violins that are just an epic addition. Of course, once the actual radio rip or full MV is release we should be able to find out just how good this song is.

Of course, the main highlight of this single is that Suzuki Kanon will have her last single, something that many were concerned about due to the sudden announcement of her graduation.

The concert rip is after the break but keep in mind that it’s a low quality version. It should give you a good idea of what to expect and so far I’m excited to find out more about this epic release!

Niji no Conquistador “Alien Girl In New York” MV Released

Niji no Conquistador Alien Girl New York MV

Niji no Conquistador have released the MV for their upcoming Single V titled Alien Girl in New York.

Releasing May 17th, this DVD single will be available in 7 versions: Aka Ban, Daidai Ban, Ki Ban, Midori Ban, Ao Ban, Ai Ban, and Murasaki Ban. If you collect all the versions you will be able to see the complete MV for the single which is 60 minutes long alongside the main MV.

Right off the bat, the title alone should catch your attention (if it didn’t then we’ll assume you’re an alien from another planet with a love for Japanese pop). Regardless, something we can all agree upon is that the several scenes around a brightly lit city in Japan are sure to have you watching over and over again.

The song itself is catchy and laid back, with a nice jazzy beat to complement the scenes. Sure, it might be hard to describe the actual MV in words, but my favorite scene would definitely have to be the intro where all the members pose while we get a scene of an alien idol on the right side of the screen.

Curious about this alien release? Make sure to check out the MV after the break and get your copy since this release is sure to be a unique one!
