In this week’s Shuukan Idol, we have an unfortunate graduation from Tsurezure and a multitude of MVs from Moso Calibration, BAND-MAID, Juice=Juice, and others. That and more in our 6 highlights of the week!
News
> Moso Calibration go into a video game world for their final MV titled Bakuage ↑ Banzai!!
Moso Calibration have had a rather successful career in the idol world. In preparation of their disbandment, they’ve released one final single and it’s a delight. Packed full of color and upbeat Moso Calibration goodness, it’s sure to be a hit with fans and the curious alike!
> BAND-MAID channel their inner Queen in the MV for Bubble
I’ll admit it: I haven’t watched the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. But, BAND-MAID have and it seems like they’re taking some of the epic scenes in the movie and using them as inspiration for their latest MV. I have no idea what they are but hey, that MV is packed full of movie quality scenes of intense guitar shredding.
> Niji no Conquistador give us some chocolate in the sweet MV for Honmei Chocolatier
Nijicon are no strangers to weird single releases and their latest is a treat. Instead of a CD single we get a chocolate soap single (yeah, it’s weird) and an MV packed with the members giving us chocolates. It’s a weird combo but it works and helps fans get ready for Valentine’s Day. Bring on the chocolate!
> Juice=Juice take a walk at night in the MV for Bitansan
Juice-Juice have not released a single in a while, so expectations were high when we got word of a new release. So, was it worth the wait? Absolutely. It’s a retro styled single that shows off a mature side of the group, which is always welcome. Give it a watch, it’s so well worth the time!
> Takoyaki Rainbow remember the good times in the MV for Anata to no Yaku Soku
Looking back at the memories you’ve made with friends is always nice. Well, we get to share in that joy with the latest MV from Takoyaki Rainbow. It’s a bit on the calmer side but it’s an MV that’s worth watching if you prefer slower releases.
> Shidare is leaving Yukueshirezu Tsurezure
This was definitely a hard one to get through. Shidare is known to many as one of the best screamers on the idol scene. Unfortunately, she has decided that it’s time for her to leave. We’re unsure of what her future plans are but for now all we can do is say best of luck Shidare!
Encore
This week we have Qumali Depart and their colorful MV for Shadaikun.
Playful xylophones are the trademark sound of Maison book girl, but those who are familiar with the group might know that they tend to stick to rather slow songs with calm vocals.
Well, Qumali Depart are doing the opposite and are taking it to the next level in the latest MV by using those instruments and combining them with an upbeat feel for a magnificent release. It’s so magnificent that it’s hard to describe just how energetic and awesome this song is.
But, it’s not only the song that is epic. Those visuals are a treat too. We get to see the members dance in a colorful room and soon they take an ice cream cone out in public to sing into it. That’s idol randomness at its finest and kind of weird, but just wait until you see them appearing with seemingly no clothes and paint on their faces.
That scene is one of the most artistic ones of the bunch, and seems a bit too mature at a glance. But, it soon turns into a playful scene with the members smiling and laughing so it’s all good.
Overall, it’s a bundle of colorful joy that any idol fan can appreciate. No links are available to get their CDs, but grab that ice cream cone camera and head on below to the video to give it a like and a subscribe if you’re into them.

That’s it for this week, stay tuned for the next one!
