Happiness Sexy Young Beautiful

Happiness has released the MV for their single titled Sexy Young Beautiful.

There will be a limited edition and a Regular version with the DVD having an MV for the single. Both versions will have the b-sides Born to be Free and Wish -2016-.

Release is set for February 3rd, which seems close but it seems like having a tie in with KOSE’s FASIO clothing line is a nice plus to have for promotion.

As for the MV itself, it’s what you expect from this talented group, a nice video showing off their dancing skills as well as a random room where the girls play together and have a girls night out.

The song itself is quite interesting, with a nice beat and the nice vocals we have come to love from them. Being somewhat far away from the hip hop scene I can’t really say if I love it or not, but I do love the sound and vocals so that’s always a plus.

Definitely worth a check from this talented group!

HKT48’s Ito Raira Announces Graduation

HKT48 Ito Raira

HKT48’s Ito Raira has announced her graduation from the group.

This was announced at Team KIV’s performance at a recent performance at HKT48 Theater. According to her, she has an interest in studying English abroad and wants to spread the idol culture to the rest of the world.

Her final performance will take place on February 29, so it seems like she is one of the rare instances where we can start planning out her final performance.

Akamaru Dash Another You

Akamaru Dash☆ has released the MV for their newest single titled Another You.

The single will be out by February 10th, so it seems like we are just a few weeks away from enjoying this interesting release. Interesting mainly due to the fact that the song is being used for a TV commercial for Maru-chan Akai Kitsune and Midori no Tanuki, a cup noodle brand that college students around the world now and love.

The song itself is catchy and features a nice beat that fans are sure to love. I’m a fan of the more school oriented settings in MVs so seeing the members dancing in one was a treat. Of course, the dresses were a nice touch, and seeing the tie-in not affect the quality of the song was plus for fans since it feels like a solid release.

It’s also a cute touch that the editions are titled after noodles, with a Soba and an Udon version being available. Small detail, but appreciated for the tie in without having to feature the logo of the brand on the single.

Sit back, prepare your favorite brand of instant ramen, and while the ramen is being cooked make sure to check out this catchy song!

The MV for Juice=Juice’s Karada Dake ga Otona ni Nattan ja nai has been released.

Release is set for February 3rd, so it was natural to get the MVs in the coming weeks.

It seems like only yesterday we got the CD covers, but thankfully the MVs have started to roll out and it seems like Karada Dake ga Otona ni Nattan Janai is the first one.

With a mature tone to the song alongside a cute, playful tone as the members dance on a black dance floor while smiling at the camera and punching a sandbag in between shots, this MV is certainly unique. The image is nice and catchy, and the scenes of the members laughing as they look at the camera is a cute touch.

The song itself is more adult, featuring a nice beat that fits the adult side of the members. Of course, the members are a bit on the young side but it’s nice to see them show off a more grown up sound that will fit the group as they gain foothold on the idol world.

Definitely worth a look, check it out!

Zettai Wasureruna have teamed up with Ichigo Rinahamu to release an MV for their song Ice Cream Popup Together.

It’s Winter and there is something on everyone’s mind: Ice cream. That’s just what Zettai Wasureruna have used as the main theme for their newest song and it turns out, it’s a nice treat for those who are fans of the warmer months.

With a happy and catchy sound featuring a slight chiptune sound, the song is a bit on the more relaxed side. The MV does reflect the more laid back sound, featuring Ichigo riding her bike through the neighborhood before heading off to her apartment where she plays and does random things.

It’s a nice song for fans of the group, and while it might not be everybody’s taste it’s overall a cute song for fans to enjoy.

The MV for Prizmmy☆’s LOVE TROOPER has been released.

Release is set for February 24, and there’s no better way to kick off the after-Valentine’s Day time than with a catchy EDM styled idol song.

With flashing lights, and a disco dance floor setting where the members sing alongside to the catchy electronic beat, it seems like this single is solid. Many might be wondering who the DJ is, well it’s none other than vocaloid producer Hajioji P, well known in the electro-pop scene.

The outfits are nice, and while the singing is a bit too calm for the type of music it seems like a nice fit most of the time so fans of the group will be happy with the overall release. Personally, the beat is nice and the vocals are solid but it is missing a bit of a harder beat.

Definitely worth a watch for fans of electronic idols!

DEEP GIRL I Kill MV

The MV for DEEP GIRL’s I kill has been released.

There will be 8 different versions: 6 member editions alongside a limited edition and a regular edition. Interestingly enough there is a long list of benefits for those who buy multiple copies, ranging from a free concert for buying 1 copy, to a 10 hour date at Disneyland with a member for buying 1000 copies.

Release is set for February 17, so it seems like it will be releasing quite close to Valentine’s Day. From the title alone it seems obvious that the song is in no way happy and instead focuses on bullying and the effects it causes.

The song itself is unique since it doesn’t feature that much singing, instead the lyrics are spoken as the scenes progress. In a way, it fits the style of the MV perfectly with a hard tone that fits the strong beat and random screaming perfectly.

It’s a strong MV, featuring every single effect that bullying does to someone. In a way I’m glad to see that an idol group has gone forward and shown off the style since it’s certainly among the most powerful messages that not many wish to tackle.

Word of caution: The MV is hard to watch. Mainly due to the multiple scenes of the members being bullied, cutting themselves, and laying in a bathtub. If you have dealt with bullying I would strongly recommend you skip this one since it goes for raw emotion instead of happy go lucky idol that many are used to.

Every♥ing has released the MV for their upcoming single titled Shining Sky.

The single will be theme song for the anime Ooya san wa Shishunki, and it will be released this February 10. There are three versions for this single: Limited edition featuring the MV and Making Of, Regular, and a Special Chara-ani edition that will feature a DVD for their final live for Colorful Story’s 39 lives.

Anime songs are usually upbeat and feature a nice catchy sound that fans find easy to remember and this song is no different.

With a happy rock sound as well as many colorful settings at a school alongside a fun dance that many will probably want to dance, it’s an amazing release for this duo who are showing off their cute vocals.

Of course, it’s not the full MV but it’s a nice preview for fans, so make sure to check it out!

As far as girl bands go I’m a big fan of two main ones that I listen to every day: SCANDAL and of course, Silent Siren. Naturally I was excited to see them release a new MV and in short I am excited about the album!

The song is upbeat with a nice rock sound to the song that is a nice comparison to their earlier album alarm due to the more happy sound. Fans of muscle men dancing to para para will also be please since there are some guys that join in during the song to dance in the background.

Overall it’s an amazing song that I am looking forward to listening to on repeat when the album comes out. Check it out!
