As expected it seems like they’re only going to have dates in the biggest cities, but it’s a nice touch that they will be going coast to coast so that everyone has at least one venue nearby them.

It’s also good to note that there are various ticket prices, so if you would like to be as close as possible then it’s highly recommended you get the higher priced ones.

Make sure to get those tickets as soon as possible since this is promising to be one of the highlights of the year for fans of Japanese music!

Country Girls’ Ozeki Mai 1st Solo Blu-ray Announced

Country Girls Ozeki Mai Greeting Cover

Country Girls have announced that Ozeki Mai will be releasing her 1st solo Blu-ray titled Greeting ~Ozeki Mai~.

Pre-orders will take place from now until March 23rd, with shipping starting in late April.

Country Girls are certainly a unique group, but with all of the members of the group it might be a bit hard to get to know them well. Thankfully it seems like solo blu-rays are starting to be released and with it comes a chance to get to know the members well.

Scenes of her running in a field in a cool Letterman jacket as well as the all too traditional seifuku are a good way to showcase her, and while the preview might only be around 2 minutes long it does give us a nice preview of what to expect.

Overall it’s a nice way to showcase Ozeki Mai, so make sure to check it out after the break!

Best of luck Aizuki Hina!

SKE48 “Chicken LINE” MV Previews Released

SKE48 Kanojo ga Iru MV

SKE48 have released previews for their 19th single titled Chicken LINE.

There were three MV previews released today for this single that will be releasing March 30th. As for the single itself, there will 4 Regular versions, 4 Limited editions, PriPara version, and a mu-mo exclusive theater version.

The previews for the songs are all for for the different edition exclusives, but the main tracklist will feature the b-side titled Houenkyou no Nai Tenmondai. Type D will feature a separate track in honor of Miyazawa Sae’s graduation titled Tabi no Tochuu.

On to the previews!

The 1st preview featuring Team S and Type-A exclusive is titled Kanojo ga Iru and in it we see the girls at an amusement park where they dance in front of the rides with a nice filter on the shot to give it a sunset look.

It could be a commercial for an amusement park, but instead we get to see the members having fun and enjoying the day while singing a somewhat “too” calm song. It does have its ups but overall I wasn’t that impressed with this one.

Up next, we have Team KII and their Type-B exclusive song Kiss Position and here we see more of a traditional idol sound with the members smiling and dancing at the camera while doing classic cute poses.

The tone of the song is upbeat, catchy, and well suiting of the members and it goes well with the cafe setting that we get to see. Of course we don’t get to see much since it’s short but there is a small story in the MV with Obata Yuna and Ego Yuna as famous celebrities being recognized at a cafe (after they stare at a waiter).

Great song, and even better MV since it has a cute theme with a colorful dance shot as well as a simple, but fun story included.

Finally, we have Team E and their Type C song Is that your secret? and this one is the interesting one out of the bunch. Instead of a happy go lucky setting we see the members chase down a paparazzi after he takes pictures of the members.

The song itself is calm tone to it and it matches the motif of the video nicely since it has a somewhat unsettling tone. Sure, the song might not be good but I’ll definitely check out the MV since it has a unique theme with a Fight Club style ring of idols.

Solid releases from SKE48 today, so check out the MVs after the break and let us know which one you prefer the most!

Negicco “Mujun, Hajime Mashita” MV Released

Negicco Mujun Hajimemashita

Negicco has released the MV for their single Mujun Hajime Mashita.

Releasing this month on March 29th in 4 versions, it seems like we’re in for a treat from this trio of talented singers.

Limited Edition A will feature a DVD with an MV, Limited B will have a bonus CD with two extra songs Space Necojaracy (Yakenohara ACID Yume Shibai Remix) which will have some rap and Oyasumi (Miyauchi Yuri Remix), while Type C will only have the title track.

There will also be a 7inch vinyl release for fans who want to experience the single with that quality.

Hopefully you’re a fan of the color green since it seems like it’s the color of choice for this MV with a bright green background accompanying the girls as they sing to a calm beat.

It might be simple, but the fact that the visuals showcase the member who is singing makes for an entertaining MV for fans who love to learn the choreography or make covers (the members randomly dancing in normal clothes is a cute touch).

Will this MV be for everyone? Maybe not, but it’s still a solid entry for the group as a solid calm ballad.

BAND-MAID To Perform In London, Seattle

BAND-MAID

BAND-MAID have announced that they will be performing overseas in London and Seattle to promote their upcoming album titled Brand New MAID.

The London show will take place at the MCM London Comic Con on May 27-29. Alongside that, the Seattle performance will take place at Sakuracon which will take place this March 25-27.

With a new album coming out on May 18th, it seems like this Japanese rock maid group is very active having just released the MV for alone a while ago.

Of course, overseas performances are always exciting and the fact that they have recieved notice from media in the states through guitar magazines, they seem to have a solid set of fans ready to welcome them this year.

This is just the start of course so I wouldn’t be surprised to hear them announce more dates alongside more promotion as they continue to grow.

Nogizaka46 “Harujion ga Sakukoro” MV Released

Nogizaka46 Harujion Sakukoro MV

Nogizaka46 have released the MV for their song titled Harujion ga Sakukoro.

Releasing March 23rd, this is the last single for Fukugawa Mai who will be graduating soon.

Unfortunately the MV fell under the Youtube Red umbrella (or country restrictions) so many people outside of Japan might not get a chance to see it, but from reports it seems like the MV has a unique theme.

There is apparently an opera style with members dressed up as part of the Taisho Period. Alongside that, Fukugawa can be seen walking away from the Sony Music building at the end in a symbolic way to represent her graduation.

Fans have commented that this is one of the most beautiful MVs since it has a nice theme as well as colors, capturing the emotions of the graduation perfectly so if you’re lucky enough to be able to see it make sure to do so since it’s a historic step for the group.

Mirai Skirt “Sennen Shojo ~Tin Ton de Schon~” MV Released

Mirai Skirt Sennen Shojo MV

Mirai Skirt has released the MV for their single Sennen Shojo ~Tin Ton de Schon~.

Releasing March 2, there will be 5 different versions for fans with Type A featuring a cover of the members and the rest of the versions featuring solo pictures of the members which will feature solo shots of each of the members in them.

This single features the EDM style we love and adore from them alongside some interesting shots of the members running around town in white dresses.

It pairs perfectly with the song, since it has a nice EDM beat combined with happy idol vocals that match the bright colors. Sure, the beat might be a bit repetitive at times but the smiles the members have as they run to the beat of the song is just too good.

Well worth a look for fans of EDM idols!
