Rena Matsui to Charan Po Rantan “Shabon” MV Released

Rena Matsui Charan Po Rantan Shabon

Rena Matsui to Charan Po Rantan have released their nostalgic MV titled Shabon.

Releasing April 6th, the single will be the theme song for the drama Kanagawa-ken Atsugi-shi Laundry Chigasaki. This single will be released in three types, all with the coupling Coffee to Cake:

  • Type A – MV for Shabon
  • Type B – Making of for Shabon
  • Type C – Bonus track titled Karasu-za

As the look for the single suggests, we’re not looking at a typical idol song. Instead, we get to enjoy a throwback to the Jazz era with an upbeat single showing off their vocals packed full of accordions and of course, a lot of clothes washing.

It’s well worth a look for those who enjoy the older Jazz, Swing type of songs since it’s certainly a unique throwback for this unit.

Head over the break to check out the song and of course if you love the song make sure to pick up a copy of this single since it’s a solid one!

SKE48 “Tabi no Tochuu” MV Released

SKE48 Tabi no Tochuu MV

SKE48 has released the MV for Miyazawa Sae’s graduation song titled Tabi no Tochuu.

The track is part of SKE48’s 19th single titled Chicken LINE which will be released on March 30th. The MVs for the rest of the single have been released previously.

Packed full of members of Team K, the song is slow and matches the feeling that many fans will have as they see Miyazawa leave. I generally don’t like ballads but the fact that she got to shine and show off her vocals was definitely a reason why this is the perfect release for her.

While Miyazawa Sae’s graduation might be a sad parting point for the group, I am happy to see that she got a solid song full of memories for fans who have followed her through her time as a member.

Make sure to check it out and get a copy of the single since the release is fast approaching!

Faint⋆Star “Never Ever” MV Released

Faint Star never ever

Faint⋆Star have revealed the MV for their upcoming electronic heavy single titled Never Ever.

Releasing on April 9th, this single will also be used as the theme song for the upcoming movie titled Dokumushi.

  1. Never Ever (ネヴァエバ)
  2. Hoozuki
  3. Ms.Question
  4. Never Ever – ☆Taku Takahashi Remix –
  5. DESTRUCTION – Ikeuchi Yoshikatsu Remix –

From the start alone the image and look of the covers, outfits, and profile pictures should be enough for fans to know that we’re in for a catchy electronic release from this duo and they don’t disappoint.

With electronic sounds, the MV starts off with a blast that is sure to catch the attention of electronic idol fans such as Perfume. At first glance it might be similar in style to them, but Faint☆Star manages to make the song as unique as possible to fit them better.

Regardless of which cover belongs to which single (this should be fixed soon hopefully), it seems like a solid release for fans to enjoy and one well worth a look for fans of the electronic idol genre.

Silent Siren To Perform in San Francisco

Silent Siren J-pop Summit 2016

Silent Siren have announced that they will be performing at the upcoming J-POP SUMMIT 2016 event in San Francisco, California.

The event will take place July 22-24 where they will be performing in the main stage at Fort Mason Center.

With the continued rise of the group it’s no surprise to see that they will soon be performing here in the US since they have had major success back at home, most notably selling out their performance at Nippon Budokan, a venue well known for its popularity in Japan.

Of course, this also marks a new path for the group since up to now they have only performed in Asia, with Hong Kong being the farthest location they have been at so far.

If you’re in the area make sure to check out the details of the event since it seems like a must see for all fans of this female rock group.

Team Syachihoko “Chérie!” MV Revealed

Team Syachihoko Cherie

Team Syachihoko have released the MV for their song titled Chérie!

Releasing April 7th, this single has the same happy sound the group is well known for, and while it might be a ballad it’s nice to see that they have made it a more upbeat release.

The single will be released in 4 types:

  • Regular – B-side titled Wow Oh! Oh!
  • Type A – B-side titled Kemono no Hanamichi
  • Type B – B-side titled Rarirariho (Habanero Posse Remix)
  • Type C – B-side titled Wow Oh! Oh! and a Blu-ray with live footage of BASYAUMA ROCKAkamiso BLOOD, and Notteke Mensoore from their Shojou Matsuri 2016 event

The theme for the MV itself is interesting, since we get to see the members dancing on the streets with a series of QR codes on their clothes, costumes, as well as their normal street clothes.Apparently the QR codes lead to bonus footage so if you’re a brave fan there are hundreds of them in the MV to check out.

This by itself is a nice touch since it makes the style of the song a bit more catchy.

It’s well worth a look for fans of the group, and personally it will be a single I’ll be picking up since it’s quite adorable, so make sure to check out the MV!

Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku “Zette Anarchy” MV Released

Shibitsu Ebisu Chugaku Anarchy

Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku has released the MV for Zette Anarchy.

The track is part of their upcoming 3rd album titled Anarchy which will be releasing April 20th. The album will be available in 3 types:

  • Type A featuring a CD/Blu-ray (with a 20 song medley titled Ebichu History Medley)
  • Type B with 2 CDs
  • Regular CD version

As the title suggests the song itself has a nice anarchy rock style in an idol way with the members having fun and singing to the beat while wearing colorful outfits that consist mainly of leather. The song is happy, so those who were picturing them going a darker route due to the title will be relieved (no anarchy idol groups yet).

It’s a fun watch for fans of the group and well worth a look for those who like idols with a rock touch!

Regardless, the single looks solid and perfect for those looking for a way to celebrate 5 years of her amazing and unique songs that have shown us the creative and colorful side of life.

Nogizaka46 “Futougou” and “Tsuyogari Tsubomi” MVs Released

Nogizaka46 Harujion ga Saku Koro

Nogizaka46 have released 2 MVs from their upcoming 14th single titled Harujion ga Saku Koro.

Releasing March 23rd, the two MVs for Futougou and Tsuyogari Tsubomi will only be available until March 22nd at 23:59 (JST).

Futougou is performed by the Under Girls, which will be part of the Type D edition of the single. Members that are part of this unit include Saito Yuuri, Terada Ranze, Kitano Hinako, and Higuchi Hina with Nakamaoto Himeka as center.

Tsuyogari Tsubomi is the B-side for Type A and it’s a solo song by Fukagawa Mai who as you might remember will be graduating from the group soon.

Unfortunately both MVs are region locked (no surprise) so if you’re lucky enough to be able to watch them I highly encourage you to do so since that, combined with the time limit on the MVs, is a massive limitation for many fans of this up and coming group.

While most of us might not be able to see the actual MVs, I encourage everyone who’s interested to get a copy of the single so they can enjoy them as soon as the single is released!
