AKB48’s Iwata Karen Announces Graduation

AKB48 Iwata Karen

AKB48’s Iwata Karen has announced her graduation from AKB48.

It was announced during their performance at Eve wa Adam no Abarebane on January 5.

With the new year comes new graduations, and sadly it seems like AKB48 is up. Thankfully it seems like the graduation has a happy note since Iwata mentioned that she wanted her graduation to be positive so hopefully everyone can keep supporting her in her future plans.

Her graduation date and final performance haven’t been announced, but good luck Karen!

Takahashi Minami’s Graduation Venue Announced, Date Postponed

Takahashi Minami

AKB48’s Takahashi Minami’s graduation venue has been revealed to be Yokohama Stadium.

Previously, we didn’t know what the venue would be but thankfully fans can finally start planning their trips. Yokohama Stadium, from what I recall, is quite a decent venue. Sure, it’s not Budokan, but it’s definitely a perfect place for her to perform alongside the group.

Alongside that, the actual date of graduation has also been changed to April 8, her 25th birthday, at the AKB48 Akihabara Theater. Of course, I imagine her activities will reduce until that date but it’s nice to see that we have a week more with her as part of the group.

Her graduation concert will be on March 26 – 27, and her final theater performance will be on April 8.

Ciao Bella Cinquetti “Doushiyo, Watashi” MV Released

Ciao Bella Cinquetti

Ciao Bella Cinquetti has released the MV for their song titled Doushiyo, Watashi.

The song is half of their double a-side single, with the other track being titled Ichigo Ichie. There will be four regular versions and a limited edition with a bonus DVD.

Fans of THE Possible are definitely in for a treat, as well as fans of Fukuda Kanon since the song was written by the former ANGERME member. The beat is strong and fast with a catchy style that is sure to have you dancing.

Having taken a short break from the J-pop scene I was unaware at first that THE Possible had rebranded themselves, but I’m happy to see that their amazing style is still intact. Sure, the song won’t receive the praise it deserves, but it’s certainly among the catchiest songs I’ve heard so far.

Thankfully, you won’t have to replay the Youtube video in a loop since the song is available right now on iTunes worldwide!

Release is set for January 27, so make sure to get a copy since there are more than enough copies left for fans to enjoy!

Sako has been in hiatus since May 31, and the announcement was done at PASSPO’s official blog. According to her graduation announcement, she will continue in the entertainment business by song writing, choreography, as well as being a director.

In a similar manner to Konishi Ayano, it seems like Makita Sako will be leaving her group after a hiatus. Sure, this time the graduation is due to different reasons but it seems like the hiatus has given Sako enough time to consider her future.

Fans might be sad, but thankfully she plans on being in the entertainment business in some way.

Konishi Ayano To Graduate From Tokyo Girls’ Style

Konishi Ayano Tokyo Girls Style

Konishi Ayano has announced her graduation from Tokyo Girls’ Style, as well as from the entertainment business.

She has been in hiatus since June 2015 due to back pain, with her pain being the cause of her break as she sought treatment. Sadly, it seems like her need for more treatment was the cause of her losing confidence as a member of Tokyo Girls’ Style resulting in her decision.

Graduations are sad, but when pain happens and treatment is needed it’s understandable since the health of an idol is priority. Unfortunately this might be the last we see of Konishi Ayano, with her last appearance slated for December 30 at a radio show.

The best of luck for Ayano, and hopefully she can get the help she needs!

Tokyo Girls’ Style will continue as a 4 member group.

3min. “BOUNCE!!” MV Released and Album Announced

3min. BOUNCE!!

The MV for 3min’s BOUNCE!! has been released.

At the same time as the MV was revealed, we did get confirmation that a new album will be out soon. Titled A to Z it will be released in March.

The video itself is quite catchy with a heavy beat and the groups trademark 3-minute length songs. The bridge of the song has a nice Japanese feel to it with a heavy guitar.

Of course, this being a live MV, many fans were lucky enough to be included in the video so there are plenty of shots of fans dancing along to the song.

Overall it’s a heavy idol song that is sure to have fans head banging to the beat, and with the promise of a new mini album it seems like 3min. are in for a nice active start to the year.

March 30th is the release of the mini album so make sure to get a copy!

Uesaka Sumire “Tetori Ashitori” MV Released

Uesaka Sumire Tetori Ashitori Regular

The MV for Uesaka Sumire’s song titled Tetori Ashitori has been released.

The song is part of an album titled 20seiki no Gyakushuu which will feature 6 new songs alongside many others to form a total of 18 songs for fans to enjoy.

Tetris is well known around the world, and it seems like we are in for a new song based on that game (hint: Tetori relates to Tetris).  Of course, it’s not known whether the song is officially licensed (probably not) but the remix is catchy.

Ignoring the old lady wearing futuristic goggles, or the singing bun and appliances, it has a nice beat to it. With a Perfume-esque feel her voice is cute and catchy.

Those who haven’t heard her sing are in for a treat, and if you liked what you heard it’s a comfort to know that the album will be out January 6.
